Last minute RO... Still only have the option of grey magic bands upon check in?

Booked my parents a 2 night stay at AS Sports for November 28th-30th so no time for shipping magic bands.
Are they not allowing you to choose a color band upon check in at the front desk?
Having 2 grey magic bands with no names on the back is gonna end up getting them mixed up at some point.
I realize they could purchase colors but when they get them included in the room reservation it would seem to be a waste or money to purchase .

buy a permanent marker to print the names on the back , so you won´t get confuse with the grey magic bands......

I have seen some of the Deluxes recently have more options besides grey at the front desk, but not sure if that is the case at all resorts or how widespread availability really is.

They haven't stayed onsite since November 2012 so no prior ones.
Besides They are in Florida already so even if they were to have had any they wouldn't have been with them.
Hopefully they'll give them a choice or I'll just tell them to keep them in separate places so they don't get mixed up and then I can use a sharpie on them when they get home so if they go in the future and stay offsite they'll know who's is who's.

If they have one at the front desk then ok that's great but why have them go buy one when we've got tons at home lol.
If they can just pack them separately to come home I can mark them so in the future they won't get mixed up.

They always have sharpies at the front desk they use them to draw on the various buttons.

The time we had grey MB (because DH work guy didn't organize things as well as he should have for their conference), the CM working at the desk when we checked in wrote our initials in sharpie on the MB so that we would know which band belonged to each of us. They kind of HAVE to do that because otherwise you'd get them mixed up and not be able to enter the park because the finger scan wouldn't work.

They are checking in in 3 days not enough time to ship anything from a website plus again they don't feel like paying extra for something they are already paying for in their room rate.

I'll tell them that if they have to get grey and no one marks them with a sharpie to ask.

Can they draw flowers or stars or ?
One can use a pink &/or purple sharpies, the other blue &/or green? Sorry about the color gender. Boy vs Girl colors.
How creative are they?
Mickey heads ? Just 2 small circles and one large one?

We added a guest at the last minute to our trip in March at the Poly. At check in they asked what color magic band she wanted (hot purple). Not sure if this is always the case but they may have color choices on site.

Even if they can't get anything other than grey and they can't borrow a sharpie from the front desk, they can still keep track easily of which MB belongs to each of them because every MB has a serial number on the back of the puck. All they would have to do is remember "Mary's is the one with the serial number ending in 7 and John's serial number ends in 5.". I think you are overthinking this, and it's not as much of a problem as you are imagining.

Honestly after someone said they have sharpies at the front desk it was solved and I wasn't worried anymore.
I was just trying to reiterate to people that were suggesting buying online or giving them sharpies that those aren't viable options for this situation.

When we were at BWI a couple weeks ago, there was a little boy getting a MB at the front desk. They had 2 or 3 colors aside from grey, and they let him choose which of those he wanted. Not sure if that’s the same everywhere, though.
