Last minute ressies question

Hi,

My family's schedule just opened up so that we are trying to plan a last-minute stay at any available DVC resort using points in December. If a BCV, VWL, OKW, or BWV unit is now available on a cash basis at disney.com, does that mean that it has been made unavailable for points use?

60 days ahead, any DVC villas unreserved on points are released to CRO for cash reseravtions. These rooms are still available for point reservations as well. HOWEVER, there are many rooms available for cash that are NOT available for point reservations since they represent reservations made available by members using their points for non-DVC options (other WDW resorts, Disney cruise, etc.).

At this time, there is very little availability during December for point reservations while there may be some villas available for cash reservatrions.

The only way to find out though, is to call MS and ask. You may need to use the wait list, or you may find that a cancellation has just occurred for the dates you want.
