Hi! My family (myself, hubby, and girls age 8) have a POP and Yacht club split stay coming up in May. I just realized that POP will be hosting the cheerleaders in town the exact weekend we’re staying there. My family are extremely light sleepers and we had a full resort day planned the day after we fly in. I was tempted to change to Copper Creek but it is almost $1,000 for four nights. The only other choice that is responsibly priced is Caribbean beach which only has the Pirate rooms left which I’ve heard are terrible or Coronado Springs which we’ve stayed at before and I enjoyed it, especially the pool, but my husband didn’t love the lack of theming. What would you guys suggest?

I should also add that the Fort Wilderness Cabins are also available for about $500 more than staying at POP. Those look really fun and we will have a rental car but it doesn’t seem like much is open there due to COViD

Don't ask me, I like irresponsible options.

But seriously, Coronado is going to be reasonably comfortable with 2 Queens and the pool is fine. Beautiful landscaping. It's plenty fake Mexicoish to me.

I enjoy Caribbean Beach, but I am wary of my kids (DS11 and DD9) sharing a full bed. They'd kick each other all night and then whine about it.

In your situation I would waste the money on Copper Creek. Wilderness Lodge is wonderful. The older I get, the more I want nice rooms, comfy beds, etc. I don't have to compromise anymore, so I won't.....

I need to check some recent posts around here but I thought I read some of those cheer competitions were also using CSR as a host resort. Let me see if I can find where I read that.

Thank you! I tried to read through a lot of them as well before I posted and I think it looks like D2 is still at POP but if you can find information where that it isn’t the case that would solve all my problems!

Coronado is also hosting the cheerleaders in May. I almost booked it myself, but quickly switched to OKW.

Copper Creek is worth the money.
