Long story short, I wanted to rent a car for our upcoming visit to BIL in San Diego but was outvoted. Now, his car is dying and I get a call from FIL saying "don't put the kid in his piece of crap car, rent one" (paraphrasing, but you get the idea).
Now I need to find a rental car by Wednesday. Hertz with the AAA discount is the cheepest I'm finding, but does anyone know of any other good places to get last minute deals? I don't know if I have time to priceline yet still not risk not getting my other reservation.
Also, odd question - we'll have our carseat with us. A lot of car seats need to be installed with a pool noodle (no joke, the instructions that come with the car seat say to use a pool noodle underneath to get the proper recline). Has anyone had experience with the rental car companies having pool noodles? I can always throw one in the suitcase just in case, but...
