Hi all. Leaving on the Fantasy in less than 2 weeks. We haven't sailed in a few years on DCL. Would you recommend bringing a refillable Yeti or Tervis style cup for on deck? Are we allowed to fill them from the soda machines? And, what products are available in the staterooms now (not staying concierge)? I believe I remember that they stopped providing the small toiletries and have large dispensers now. Are hand soap and lotion provided? Thank you!

Even before Covid, there was a sign by the soda machine stating that you should fill paper cups and dump them into any personal cup rather than touching the personal cup directly to the machine. Avoids contamination from backsplash. So you can use your own cups just transfer the drink contents into it using the DCL provided paper cup.

I seem to recall there was that H2O lotion in the bathroom but maybe I am imagining it. I think the hand soap was liquid soap in a pump bottle rather than a bar of soap but I also don’t have the clearest memory.

Crew members are tending the drink stations and they will fill your cup, using a paper cup.

There is a bar of soap and pump bottle of lotion in the shower room, and a pump bottle of soap on the toilet room. The shower has pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

You obviously haven't cruised since COVID unless the FANTASY is doing everything different than the WONDER. No self serve drinks or ice-cream.
You’re wrong. I cruised last week on the fantasy and what you’re saying is incorrect for cold drinks.

So, either you or a CM will fill paper cups for you to pour liquids into your Yeti / Tervis cup.

And it is still H2O products.

Have a great cruise :)

OK so "Who's on First?" Typical DISNEY consistency.... :) And now we know why all the ships have Yellow Status.

The ships have yellow status because of the self-serve cold drinks? I don't think so. It's the crew that is driving the yellow status with positive cases (I think unavoidable).

No because they backed off of the earlier stringent policies they were following. We did the 14 day PC cruise on the WONDER and from what we understand there were no cases, and it was the longest post covid shutdown cruise of any cruise line. We also had no restrictions as far as getting off at all the ports, however the crew could not get off.

Opening the cold drink stations just occurred in late Dec.

The PC had several different “rules” than even the next Wonder cruise or the other ships. I believe all 4 ships have been in and out of yellow status periodically this fall before now. I would guess the current issues onboard have more to do with the Omicron variant than the rules.
