Wow we are so excited! 2 Days to go and we just can't wait. We are going with one other family and we have 3 great kids ages, 1-5-7. So far thanks to this board I have figured out we are flying into Long Beach and staying at the BW Park Place. (It sounds like it is clean and close!) We have 4 day park hoppers and leave on Saturday night. We actually got to go to DL for the first time last year and we loved it. So I guess I do have an idea on what to expect but......... When do you guys recommend doing Goofy's? I don't want to miss the early start at the park but I definitely want to do Breakfast or Lunch there. We will be taking a break in the middle of the day as it sure seems to help our kids and us for that matter.
Can we make it on Friday night to both the electric Parade at CA and then back to DL for the fireworks? Are the fireworks called Fantasmic? I feel like such a loser but I don't know what the heck that Fantasmic thing is but I have read a lot of posts about it! :)
Also did I really read the forecast right? It says sunny and 74 and I am up here in rainy WA and I can't even imagine looking for my shorts!
Well if I any of you have any advice I would sure appreciate it. Everyone on this board is so nice and helpful and I have certainly logged onto this site so many times. Thanks in advance for all of your help! Such nice people!

Don't really have the answers for your questions but just wanted to wish you a happy trip and a safe journey home from one Washingtonian to another! And don't worry...the rain will be here when you get back! :teeth:

You probably want to do the Electrical parade and Fantasmic (not just a fireworks show--you can't see it from anywhere in the park, unlike the fireworks) on different nights (if you can) unless they're doing a second Fantasmic (in which case you'll still need to move pretty fast to get over to the river). Fantasmic is staged on Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America and you need to be in that area in order to see it. It's the most amazing 25 minutes of Disney magic you'll ever see. Given the choice, I'd do Fantasmic over the Electrical parade, though the Electrical parade is excellent. In order to see the first Fantasmic, you'll need to get your spots a few hours ahead of time.

Yes, you will have beautiful weather this week. However, it is really cold mornings and night - it's 40 degrees right now in San Diego.

I think it is an adventure to see both the Electrical Parade and Fantasmic on the same night. Sit on the parade route closest to the exit of DCA and as soon as the big float with the flag passes by make sure to head out of DCA to beat the crowds. Go straight into Disneyland, head up Main Street, take a left at Adventureland or Frontierland and find the best spot you can.

Have a magical trip this week.

You've got your answers for the parade and Fantasmic, so I'll give my opinion on Goofy's. We have only done breakfast there (3 times now), but we always get one of the last seatings, usuall around 10:30. That way we get in the parks right at opening, then head over for a late breakfast, early lunch. But that might not work for you since I think the park is not open until 9, so you only get 1 hour.
