Last Minute Question - Everest

Quick Question. I leave in exactly 6 hours. While I was trying to get to sleep, I remembered I had one last all important question before I go on my trip! What is the fastest way to Expedition Everest after entering the entrance? I heard that it is important to get their early. Right when it opens, I plan on rushing in - take some pictures in front of the Tree of Life and heading to Everest. So what is the fastest way?

I plan on getting the fast pass and standing in the Single Rider Line so I will be riding it a total of 2 times.

Ok, since I have looked this up because I too was curious, I found that once you enter, take a right from the Tree of Life into Dinoland and then up into Asia.

There is ALWAYS time to take pictures of the Tree of Life!

Here is how we are going to attempt EE next week (is it that soon, already )



That is straight through the Oasis and taking a right into DINOLAND, and then from Dinoland into EE.

Probably.. LOL. It seems pretty much the same to me. So, at least here is a map of AK so you can see which way YOU choose to go. We will actually be able to get to EE much faster than most people one of the mornings we are there, because we will be eating at Donald's Breakfastosaurus. So maybe that is why I chose the Dinoland route.

I think if you get there at opening, you have a pretty good chance to get onto EE more than once no matter which way you choose. (especially being in the singles line)

EDIT: Also, looking at the map I drew on, you can not really tell but, the path I chose is much more narrow, so I am thinking that many people will be taking the larger route for more room. In this sense, there will be less people on your path allowing you to move faster towards you prey .

1) In the mornings, after the "rope drop" most days guests are LED to EE by CM's (no running) and they go via Asia.

2) The route to EE entrance is MUCH closer via ASIA. (Dinoland is closer to the MOUNTAIN, but the ENTRANCE is closer to Asia.)

3) If there are more guests heading in via Asia, and YOU decide to go via Dinoland, you will be VERY disappointed, as you will then have to walk PAST the ever-growing line of guests facing you who are rapidly filling the length of the line from the Asia side.

4) There is absolutely no reason to stop and take pics of the Tree of Life on your way INTO the park.
a) It will slow you down on the way to EE by maybe, 100, 200, or more guests as they pass you, and
b) I understand that the Tree will still be there AFTER you ride EE

5) The only reason to go to EE via Dinoland route is if you have just eaten at Donald's Breakfastosaurus and are already IN Dinoland.

Friday, May 19, 2006: this was our experience:

DAK non-EMH (9am open)
Donald's Breakfastosaurus: 8am Ressie.
Enter for breakfast at 7:55am
Breakfast finished at 8:40am
CM "held" everyone at Bone-yard area (nobody allowed to go back into DAK)
At 8:55am, we were "released" to walk on past the Tarzan Rocks/Nemo Theater (still just I-beams, under construction) to the bridge where two CM's were holding a rope.

They watched across the water until they saw the hordes of folks (being led by CM's) heading towards Asia.

They speed-walked us back to EE, but the "hordes" from the front gate beat us to the standby entrance (Asia is the shorter route to EE than Dinoland).

But, one of our CM's walked OUR group directly thru the FASTPASS entrance (she told the FP CM that we were "coming through"!)

We were on the FIRST ride, in the second car of EE that day!

COOL!

Now, I don't know if this is STANDARD PROCEDURE (so don't COUNT on it to happen) but it was a PERFECT way to start our DAK day, that morning.
