last minute onsite questions

Hi all. I leave next Sunday and I had a few questions for things I didn't find elsewhere in my reading.

1) Can you ship to the hotels? I am staying at PPH and wanted to do a Prime Pantry shipment of snacks and drinks.

2) Can you use the entrance at the Grand Californian for DCA if you are staying at any hotel? It seems to be a lot closer to get in and also would work better for the hour in the morning.

3) I got my package in the mail and it lists a pin and lanyard (but not in the box with everything else). Do you get this at check in?

2. You can but you really don't want to use it in the morning. Particularly for extra magic hour. It is crazy crowded and quite frankly, I find them just to not be as nice and excited as the regular gate people.
Walk through the GCH to downtown Disney and enter through the main gates. The GCH exit is a great way to go OUT of DCA though. Especially after you ride GRR.
3. If I recall, we were directly to pick up the pin and lanyard at one of the photo shops on main street. Ask when you check in. But no. Its not weird that it wasn't in your package.

#2 - You can use the entrance if staying at PPH, but like the above posted mentioned, I would not recommend it in the morning, especially for EE! It was always pretty bad, but now with only one metal detector it takes even longer to get through there!

I use the grand entrance for early entry if I am going to toy story first. Any other rides I go through the main entrance.

For question 2: I would not recommend using the Grand Cal entrance for first thing in the morning. The line is very long and people start lining up early. Its moves very slow and there is only one metal detector. It can take 20 - 30 min. if you are near the back. It is a waste of your time. If you are staying at the PPH, cut through the Grand Cal hotel and exit into Downtown Disney. Then go through the regular security and gates. You will be on the rides while some people are still waiting at the Grand Cal park entrance to get in. After the crowds clear first thing in the morning, it is a great entrance and exit to use throughout the day and night.

I got mine there as well. It was a 60th anniversary one. Might have changed them now though

#3...look on the lanyard/pin voucher, it will tell you which shops you can redeem your voucher for the items.

1. Yes. Make sure you have your name on it and "Guest of the Paradise Pier Hotel."
2. Yes, but don't recommend for early entry.
3. I usually redeemed at the Little Green Men store in DL.

Thanks everyone. For the pin and lanyard I don't remember seeing a voucher but this is my first onsite DL trip so I was a bit unsure as we got the packet and a letter confirming payment back to back with the same details, I will look it over again.

I will avoid the Grand Cal entrance in the morning then, I do arrive Sunday early afternoon so it may be helpful then to avoid the crowds at the main gates and security. Also noted that it is a good place to exit.

Hello. We have a room only Ressie beginning September 23 at the GCH. Are we supposed to receive something in the mail? Or is that only for ressies for packages (room plus tickets). I'm a little confused after reading this thread. Thank you!

No goodies for regular room only reservations...those mentioned above are vacation package perks where you get tickets and rooms all in one deal and they toss in some swag.

I haven't done prime pantry but have successfully ordered groceries delivered from Vons on 3 occasions. It worked great. They called us when it arrived and brought to our room.
