Welcome to my first PTR!! This will not have many installments, as we are leaving this Friday!!!
I really would have started one sooner, if I had known we were going!!
Here is a little background on this trip: Dh works in a school 5 days a week and goes to University in the evenings, and the ocasional Saturday. That leaves me and DD4 at home with a very unreliable car in -35C weather.
I was getting a bit down about things, and then my aunt passed away from lung cancer. She lives in Wales, and I was unable to go. So fast forward to this morning, DH said he had no work or school this friday, and I jokingly said well lets have a weekend in Disney!! (Not that we can afford to run away on a moments notice though.) Well he said to find out how much it would cost for DD and I to go for the weekend, as our voucher through West Jet was going to expire. I still thought he was kidding, so I got some rough prices and emailed them to him. Well when he got home from work, he went and booked everything!! We unfortunatly couldn't get a Disney resort, well we could have gotten a Deluxe, but couldn't afford those prices, especially this spur of the moment! So we are staying off Property in LBV at the Comfort Inn...not a great place but good enough to sleep in. We have stayed here before, and never really had any major problems.
So now a bit about me and DD! I am 29, and a stay at home mommy. I am a total Disney nut. I grew up going to Disney. My parents immigrated to Canada from Wales before I was born, so there is just us here. I have no siblings. So we went to Disney almost every Christmas, with the exception of the odd October visit. We stayed mainly off site, a couple of times onsite. I had a Disneymoon honeymoon, and loved it!
DD is 4 and the joy of my existance. We tried so hard for her, and almost were giving up, then I got pregnant. I had a rough pregnancy and ended up on bed rest, and to top it off an emerg c-section. She was in the NICU and has turned out perfect, worrying and percautions were welcome but thankfully unnecissary. She does suffer with Asthma, which we can control well unless she get sick, then she is usually in the hospital with it. She is also a totaly Disney nut, and very much into Princesses and now Pirates, well Jack Sparrow! At least it is just an innocent fasination now....lol
Her first trip to Disney was December 2006, and she loved it!
So now I am kinda in a frenzy of finding what warmer weather clothes DD still fits, washing it and packing our stuff. Plus I am going to need to find some sandals or something for her to wear, as her winter boots won't work well in Disney!! LOL (She has outgrown all last years footwear
) So that is where I am at for packing.
As for ADR's I really don't think we will need any for just the weekend, plus I am pretty sure everywhere will be booked!! That's fine, counter service works great for me!!
We have tickets to the PPP, looking very forward to that! Growing up we never did the 'extra' parties or anything, so that is all new and exciting for me!
So my itinerary looks somewhat like this (keeping in mind that I have known about this for a total of 4 hours):
Friday:land in Orlando at 1:12 pm.
go to hotel and freshen up, have a rest
go to DTD for supper and a shop! DD and I love the Marketplace!
Saturday: go to the Magic Kingdom for the day
**maybe go to hotel for a rest-depends if we rent a car**
PPP!!!
Sunday: unknown, wing it!! we have a late night flight out
Monday: arrive home in the morning
So there you have it, my very first PTR! If you have any suggestions on anything, please let me know.
Thanks for reading!!
