Hi. We just bought tickets. Because we didn't know we were going until a day or two ago, we didn't really follow all the information on the threads. We are going to the party this Friday-two days from today. All I know is that they will be selling the Grumpy pin that day. I have a few questions.
1) The earliest that you can get in with MNSSHP tickets without regular admission is 4:00 PM, correct?
2) Because we were able to buy last minute tickets, how crowded do you think it will be? Is there a maximum number of tickets sold for the event, and if so, what is it? I would like some crowd predictions, as it is a Holiday weekend. Schools have Monday off, but they are in session on Friday, the day of our party.
3) This is our first MNSSHP, so we would like to get the inside scoop on Boo to You and Hallowishes viewing spots. Will our usuals suffice or are the shows different wnough from Spectromagic and normal Wishes that we will need to find different location? In short, can we use the spots we usually have for Spectromagic and Wishes?
4) I know you can trick or treat, but do they give you a bag? Are the lines long for this?
5) I have heard mention of a free photo. True or False? We have a Photopass card.
6) What on earth are these Lovebugs that I have been reading about? They had better not be real bugs! ;)
7) How are the ride lines during the party. Do most of people spend all of their time trick or treating? We have little interest in the dance parties, if that helps.
8) Where can we purchase merchandise? (the special pins, shirts, etc.)
9) I think I read that they do Boo to You twice. When are the Boo to You parade(?s?), and when is Hallowishes? Also, the ending of the party itself is midnight, correct? I hope that Hallowishes is a little earlier.
10) This goes with the last one. Do most people stay for the entire party, or do they leave earlier?
11) Is there a discrepancy between the time party guests are let in (question one) and when the party officially starts? If so, what is it?
12) I have read that they do a pretty decent job of herding the non-ticketed guests out of the park. I hope it's true.
13) What's the fastpass situation? Are they available, and if so, do you even need them? If they are available, can they be obtained with party admission only. (no regular MK admission for that day)
14) I have read that there are more characters than usual out. Are the lines prety bad, or does the sheer amount of characters even out the queues for autographs?
15) Are there any little known MNSSHP secrets that I should know about? Any little attractions that are not advertised?

Thank you for reading a VERY long post. You can probably tell that this is our first MNSSHP. I will probably think of more questions. I'll post them as I think of them. For now, I have 15, though.
Thank you in advance!!! Happy Halloween!

Thank you for that link! I am about to read through it. If anyone has specific answers though to these actual questions based on the parties that have happened this year, I would be forever grateful!

There is no free photo. You get a special MNSSHP photo card and the photos on that card are available for %50 off. They give you a small bag to trick or treat with, one per person. Some lines for trick or treating are long, but they move. The lovebugs are real bugs that are flying around everywhere and are attached to each other. The party officially starts at 7:00, but decorations are up before that. They do a great job of clearing the park of non-ticketed guests. The lines for the characters that we saw were not bad, they moved quickly. We didn't see a ton of characters that night either. Hope this helps.

Thanks-this helps a lot!

What holiday is this monday that schools are closed?

Did you read ANY of the other threads first?

I'll take a stab at a few -

2) Because we were able to buy last minute tickets, how crowded do you think it will be? Is there a maximum number of tickets sold for the event, and if so, what is it? I would like some crowd predictions, as it is a Holiday weekend. Schools have Monday off, but they are in session on Friday, the day of our party. Not all schools have off Monday - it is hard to predict the crowd - they do not make public the number of available tickets. Last Friday was fairly crowded by some accounts - others not - depends on what your expectations are - we arrived at 4:15 and the park was VERY QUIET - as day guests were leaving in droves - and party guests were just beginning to arrive. If you can take advantage of this time for some rides, etc.
I believe that your normal viewing spots will be fine -
4) I know you can trick or treat, but do they give you a bag? Are the lines long for this? Yes - they give you bags. Lines appeared long, but most say moved quickly - my DD was not interested in TorT on Friday.
5) I have heard mention of a free photo. True or False? We have a Photopass card. No free photo - there is a SPECIAL photopass card for the night that you will be given at your first photo location - there are several different props around the park - Minnie Mouse behind her house, a large "Mickey" ghost by the flagpole, HM as a "poster" with the Ghosts that you can pose in front of, Cinderella's Coach is in Fantasyland next to IASW, POTC in front of the display in front of the ride - I am sure there are others - this is all I can think of.
6) What on earth are these Lovebugs that I have been reading about? They had better not be real bugs! ;) Lovebugs are real bugs - very lightening bug like - they do not bite or sting - just annoy - they are starting to be less of a nuisance, and are not out much if any at night.
7) How are the ride lines during the party. Do most of people spend all of their time trick or treating? We have little interest in the dance parties, if that helps. Rides lines were reported to be fairly short - we did not do too many rides.
8) Where can we purchase merchandise? (the special pins, shirts, etc.) Shirts were available in most stores, the pins are available only at the Exposition Bldg near Tony's. They desk were you purchase these is all the way in the back.
9) I think I read that they do Boo to You twice. When are the Boo to You parade(?s?), and when is Hallowishes? 8:15 & 10:30 Also, the ending of the party itself is midnight, correct? Yes I hope that Hallowishes is a little earlier.9:30
10) This goes with the last one. Do most people stay for the entire party, or do they leave earlier? Both - many folks watch first parade, then fireworks and leave - the 2nd parade was much less crowded last week.
11) Is there a discrepancy between the time party guests are let in (question one) and when the party officially starts? You are allowed entrance into the park at 4pm with your party ticket. If you want to visit MK earlier you will need normal admission. If so, what is it? Party begins at 7pm
12) I have read that they do a pretty decent job of herding the non-ticketed guests out of the park. I hope it's true. We did not experience a problem with non ticketed guests.
13) What's the fastpass situation? Are they available, and if so, do you even need them? If they are available, can they be obtained with party admission only. (no regular MK admission for that day) I do not believe they were using FPs
14) I have read that there are more characters than usual out. Are the lines prety bad, or does the sheer amount of characters even out the queues for autographs? We experienced a 1/2 hr wait to get Minnie's photo - that was the longest (7:30 - 8:00). About 10 minutes for Pooh & Tigger. We got some Villians at the Dance Party in Fantasyland rather quickly. We were there when it started at 7pm
15) Are there any little known MNSSHP secrets that I should know about? Any little attractions that are not advertised? HAVE FUN!

Thank you for reading a VERY long post. You can probably tell that this is our first MNSSHP. I will probably think of more questions. I'll post them as I think of them. For now, I have 15, though.
