Last minute ID ideas?

I went to Petsmart to get a tag for my 2-yr-old's shoe and not only was the machine not working but I just figured out - DUH - that the tag wouldn't work with either of his pairs of shoes anyway.

It's too late to order any of the neat stuff available online. Anyone have a secure fast homemade idea? He is just over two and can't even pronounce his name really or give details to anyone if he wandered away.

How quickly does Sharpie wash off? He loves to show off his tummy. I have seriously thought about putting his name and my cell number on his belly!

EASY & FAST: write your childs name and your cell number on the tounge of her shoe. Tell her to show it to a CM if she is too little to talk. I have also heard parents writing their info on the bottom of their kids foot w/ a sharpie. It takes a LONG time to wear off, but at least no one can see it - who isnt supposed to.

We leave in 5 days and I made a tag at Walmart last week with DH and mine cell phone numbers and names. And for the days he won't have his tennis shoes on I plan to pin (or use one of the linked chains if I can find a short one) it to the tag in his shirt or in his pocket on his shorts.

Go to Walmart and buy some printer labels. Print out your child's name, your name, cell phone number, and resort your staying at. Or anything else you find important (allergies). Then everyday put the label in the inside of you child's clothing. You might even want to do shirt and pants and the inside of shoes.

You can get the DOG TAGS at both Disney (AK shop by PW) or at the US store at MCO .you might be able to buy 2 chains and make a small belt out of them as I don;t recomend anything around a little ones neck.You can also use ZIPTIES or twisties and attach to shoe.


Also SHARPIE on the forehead looks great with the blank stair of I'm lost.
