Last minute HS availability

Hi all! I'm thinking of planning a last minute trip to DW in early May, but there are no dates for HS available during the entire month or May or most of June. What are the chances a day during our trip will become available if I keep checking between now and then? Thanks!

It can happen as people cancel trips etc, but I don't think I'd count on Disney adding more availability. Seems like HS was completely booked the last 2 months and is for the next 2 months. If you have hoppers, you can get over there in the evening, but that won't help much for getting on RotR.

Maybe. Maybe not. This is the conundrum MANY are facing. All you can do is keep checking.

It may or may not happen but many are looking so you will want to check often. Many people are trying to get reservations for DHS and they are always the first to fill up with the exception of MK on Oct 1.

It’s a Hail Mary. You can keep checking, which is smart, but chances are probably better that you get struck by lightning and win the lottery the same day it seems. Hollywood Studios is consistently packed with at least four rides having 90 minute waits by 10AM. If you see reservations available, grab it. You can always change your mind later.

You can always hop to it at about 2pm if you have no other options.

Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing.

No help to you but after seeing threads like this and other availability I just changed my Epcot day to a HS day even tho I don’t have hoppers at this point (for 7/1). Once I make dining reservations I will give up a HS day based on when I can get what I need or I will add hoppers so I can get to Epcot

Availability has opened up for May 30th through end of June. Nothing earlier unfortunately, though I wonder if they're planning to increase overall capacity then, too

You don't, but if you want to try to get on RotR, you have to have a reservation. Hoppers aren't able to join the virtual queue.

With a park hopper you may enter HS at 2 PM or later. A park hopper does not allow you to try for a boarding group at either 7 AM or 1 PM. You must have a HS park reservation to try for a RotR BG

Also you need a reservation for a park and you need to go there before you hop to another park. If you have a ticket but don't reserve any park or reserve a park but don't go there before you try getting in to another park you will not be able to go in.

We had tried and tried to get a reservation for the 18th of May. And tonight out of the blue, more May dates opened up for Hollywood Studios. Yay! We got our reservations!

my niece was able to get a reservation today for the studios on 5/11. It’s the one park she really wanted to go to. I am so happy for her and her daughter

I managed to change two of my scheduled days in a couple of weeks to DHS last night. Kept my original reservations that I made for weekend days because of no availability to change but was able to swap out a MK & an AK day for DHS during the week. At least now things will work better for my plan to hop to EPCOT to eat at the Festival Booths. I needed to shuffle my planned possible days to go to Universal but it worked out well.
