Hello.. We are in a bind... We are going to DLR this weekend and need a hotel reservation that won't explode my wallet if you know what I mean. I know it's last minute and there aren't probably any hotels in the $100 range at this time.. but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas where I should start looking in case there are some secret travel site others know about??? Much appreciated.

If you don't mind staying a shuttle ride away, or driving and parking each day, priceline or hotwire. Keep in mind some hotels may charge for parking, and if you drive you need to pay for disney parking.

In walking distance, Anaheim Plaza and Super 8 Katella may get you in the sub $100 zone.

Anaheim Plaza looks like it has a standard 2 Queen for about $105. It's easy walking distance. Harbor/Disney Way. I have stayed there, and it's a decent for a place to sleep and shower. Rooms are pretty good size. Most have mini fridges and microwaves. It's the cheapest place I can recommend based on personal experience. It think parking is around $7 HTH

It doesn't always have the hotel name, but has the star rating and distance from airport, which can be used to figure out which ones are closest to DLR. Most also have hotel pics, so you can see what you are getting into (and possibly compare to other websites with the hotel name...)

Depending on your party, these "get what you get" reservations are great. After the second time booking a reservation for 2 adults and 2 children, and geting a great room with one queen bed, we gave up. :upsidedow

With Hotwire you can specify the number of people in your party so it will still work if you need more than 1 bed.

with priceline all you have to do is call the hotel directly after you buy the hotel room and let them know how many people will be in the room and how many beds you need...ive used it for years and always done it this way:)

I hope Priceline has changed its policy. Last June they told me I was SOL, getting two beds for 2 adults and 2 children.popcorn::

Anaheim Plaza, mentioned above, is good, decent rates, walking distance and parking is $4 a night, they will let you park in their lot on your check out day as well.

Motel6 has availability this weekend, 2 Queen beds for $71.99 with this discount code: CP545856. Parking is free and the ART shuttle stops right at the hotel.

I have used priceline for years for both business and pleasure travel. You are ONLY guaranteed a room that will sleep 2 adults PERIOD. That is their stance. Any special requests you have to call the hotel directly and ask for 2 beds, non-smoking, etc.

I have found that most hotels are very accommodating with asking for a certain size bed or non-smoking room (most hotels are 100% non-smoking where I travel). HOWEVER they do not have to accommodate your request so you are at the mercy of the clerk at either check-in or when you call and make your request. In 200+ stays using priceline I would say I have only had an issue 3-4 times. Just know that with priceline (or anything in life) there is a certain risk you are taking bidding on a hotel.

If you go the priceline or hotwire route I would advise you to check out bidding for travel or better bidding websites for bidding strategy.

Good Luck!

But... this handy tip tells you exactly what hotel you're purchasing from LMT!

Thanks! That looks even faster than my searching method.

May want to try Motel 6, there is a thread about it and under $70 it looks like. Good luck.
