I decided last night that I NEED to see Wishes before it's gone and I need an affordable hotel or condo (preferred) for a party of 5. We will have a car, but don't want to stay too far away. Is there a place to find last minute deals for Windsor Hills or even Bonnet Creek besides vrbo? I'm open to hotel suggestions too. Thanks!!

Look on ebay and you may find some dates that would work, as there are some early May available reservations.

It depends on how long you are going for. Short trips at rentals like that get expensive. They have the mandatory cleaning fee which can be $60-$100. It comes down to how long you are going for. Something near DS may be the better choice for a short stay.

if you are going for a week i would suggest looking at Tug or redweek for a last minute timeshare. have a great trip.

SkyAuction ......... read fine print each offer varies but it's the only way I book Bonnet Creek.

I have to be home on the 9th, so I'm kinda limited to six nights. I did have one owner tell me that she would waive the cleaning fee because it was last minute, but the rental rate was more than I'm comfortable with anyway, so...

What about Sheraton Vistana? You can sometimes find great rates there through Mousesavers.

Try SVR or Villages via the deal by Disboards' sponsor - click through their link. The price is always lower than AAA or AARP.
Or how about Staybridge Suites LBV (near Palm Parkway) - very close via back roads, 1 and 2 bedroom/2 bath/2 TV units, no fees, free breakfast 7am, pool (no slide), hot tub, great reviews. No balcony. Walk to Publix grocery store, very close to Crossroads. There are a few hotels in that immediate area (not along hotel blvd.) with 1 and 2 bedroom units and full kitchens around $150/nt. (Although I don't book last minute, so not sure if much more $$$.) Benefit is you don't have to deal with an owner and all that - its a hotel - and they are fine with fewer than 7 nights of course.

since some things are already sold out for May 11 - don't know - I am here now at Silver lake party of 1 and the places sleeps 6. this is not an invitation. Guess I should have read this sooner.

Thanks everyone! I was able to get Champions World Resort for a decent price. It wasn't great, but it worked.
