last minute...first time...solo traveler...any hints?

Hello everyone!!!

I am going to Disney this week with one of my best friends. (We just decided yesterday!!) But we are traveling separately and she is leaving on Sunday and I will be there Monday and Tuesday.

I was just a little worried about touring DW alone.

Do you guys have any hints? What restaurants (sit down) are good for solo travelers? Do most big rides have single lines?

Any help you guys can give me would be awesome! I am a little nervous and have not had time to plan this at all!!

I will be meeting up with some Make a Wish families when I am there and am friends from the DISboards with many of them...but I am just wondering if you guys could give me some hints!!

Solo trip is going to be fine! I had a 1/2 day alone to start, and then a day and 1/2 alone at end, there for 5 days...
Get to hotel, and walk around, get the lay of the land! Check out food court and get a coffee and relax. Find the pool!
Then jump on your bus and go somewhere you've never been.
I went over to Animal Kingdom Lodge b/c I had seen it on Sam Brown show and fell in love, so with camera in hand, I had a good time, chatted with staff at hotel.

Parks... you can always find someone to chat with in lines, or if you are tired, find a bench , people watch or chat with other tired travelers.

For meals, I always had some pages of where I wanted to go and see. would check off that stuff while waiting for a heal.
I think eating at places where I was outside was easier ( morroco take out),
as there was usually a show going on to watch too!

Enjoy! No one is going to wake you up, or make you stay out past your bedtime!
