Getting a room in December 4 months out is nearly impossible but not completely impossible. We managed to get a 1 bedroom for a few days with out college age kids in December at BWV. We've never been there during the holidays and are excited to see the decorations. But, we can't go to MVMCP because the last night is the 19th. Do they do anything special starting on the 20th leading into the holidays?

Congratulations on getting that reservation! :thumbsup2

Did you get it via the waitlist or just call up and get it recently?

There are a ton of threads about Christmastime at WDW, but I'll say that you'll want to take in a Candlelight Processional (might find all the CP dinner packages sold out though), Osborne Lights, and visit other resorts to view the decorations. Have a great trip! :santa:

i dont know what they do starting the 20th but congrats on your last minute holiday season booking!!! :yay:

I think that after the last Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the Christmas parade from the party is then shown at the MK, so I think you're lucky. Be sure to check it out!

I hope you have a great trip. Going during the Christmas season is a treat!

We'll be at the BWV at the same time as you (we're getting there a few days earlier). I wouldn't get too concerned about missing the MVMCP because the reason they stop having it is because the MK no longer closes at 7pm but starting around the 20th stays open later (I think it's 11:00 pm). The result is that you get the 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm hours for free if you bought the ticket for the daytime. As I recall, the special Christmas Parade is held in the MK on the 20th and through New Years. Bottom line - you don't get free cookies and hot chocolate but you don't pay the extra admission fee either.

Congrats on getting the reservation!
