Last minute bookings

I am new to the Boards and just found out I have to be in Tampa for a meeting on Nov 13, so am making hurried plans to visit The World Nov 14 & 15. Does anyone know if there is any benefit to calling a Disney resort directly rather than through the central reservation line and asking if they are running any specials for last minute reservations? Or is there benefit in booking through Travelocity or another such site? Do their fees run so high that they cancel out your discount?

Calling the resorts directly will do nothing, they dont book the rooms, the call centers do. Id call the call center and see if they have any rooms open. If not, go through expedia or travelocity. No such thing as "last minute specials" through disney though
