I'm really surprised at the prices for last minute cruises. Is there ever a significant deal on last minute cruises, let's say booked a week to a couple weeks in advance?

Disney offers restricted rates on some cruises within the last few months before sailing. I've noticed two November Dream cruises that currently have restricted verandah rates, which makes booking a restricted verandah cheaper than booking an inside stateroom on those cruises. That's a good deal compared to paying full price for a verandah.
These general public restricted rates, plus military discounts & Florida resident discounts are all released in the months before sail date, and that's the closest they come to last-minute discounts. DCL does not offer ultra-low last-minute fares to try to fill up the ship like some other lines.
