I literally just booked the cruise this morning for next week's sailing on the Wonder... never done that before! I know that I won't get the luggage tugs in the mail, but after completing my PAT time, all there was left was between 1:30-2:00 pm. I wasn't surprised, but I'm used to securing a 10:30 am PAT... my question is, would be okay to show up at port around 11:30 or so, and would it be possible to get in earlier? Thank you!

Typically, Open Boarding is called around 12:30. Anyone holding any boarding number can board at that time.

The boarding number you get at the port is tied to the Port Arrival Time you selected. So your number will be fairly high.

Chances are you will be able to enter the terminal earlier (unless it's too busy), but you'll still get the same boarding number.

I'd probably shoot for arriving around 12:15-12:30.

That would be out of San Diego - I have NO idea what that port terminal is like.

The good thing about the Wonder is that it is NOT Dream Class size, therefore fewer people.

Regardless, I would not show up before noon, and would think that 12:30 would be much better.

That's the breaks about booking late: late PAT and second dinner, and probably not a lot of potential spots to book a Palo brunch or dinner. Hopefully you got a pretty good last minute "deal" (because the words Disney and Deal are very rarely mentioned in the same sentence).

The San Diego terminal is right in the middle of town. You do need to show your cruise reservation/ID to enter the port area. It's a pretty basic building, once inside, not so many Disney touches.

I'm hoping we got a good deal. 2 adults and 2 children in a verandah room for $2976 for a two day. I booked it so that it would bump us up to Gold!

I've never booked a trip so sudden like this... I feel a bit disoriented.. lol!
We did something similar once. My husband came home from work one Thursday and said "I've got next week off, see if you can find us a cruise this weekend". I looked him and said "You're talking to me, right?" (as my hand is reaching for the phone.

Well, we booked a cruise departing on Sunday. Not a DCL, however, but nice nonetheless.

our last minute cruise was booked in December and started less than 30 days later!! It was unexpected. So we have 3 cruises this year. But Hey, we didn't have to wait 18 months for a cruise to finally get here for a change.

And it worked out great for us.

TFW I'm paying $3,300 for 2 adults in an inside room :headache:

If you are on this same sailing, log into your cruise account and you can pick a new room and get a better price too.

This would only be if the actual cruise fare went down.....would not work if the price was lowered due to a *GT rate being offered.

Our two day cruise came and went and although it was fast we had a wonderful time! One step closer to Gold!
