Guys! The time has come!!
In exactly 24 hours, I'll be seated on a United Dreamliner en route to LAX (15.5 hours!!! Plus another 5.5 to NYC!!)

Do you have any last tips, hints, reminders, advice for me?

I've downloaded a subway app to make sure we got to where we are going, we have cash, I have packed some unbelievably strange items, but I'm sure there are more.

Hit me up guys and gals, I have 7 hours of work to get through and then I'm a free woman!!

Just want to say have a wonderful, awesome, spectacular, magical :wizard:pixiedust:, and of course, safe trip. Will miss you here while you're gone, but will be glad you are having an awesome time!!

Have an awesome trip! Try not to stress about anything and just have a great time.

In NY, check subway status before you go places (mta.info), especially if it's a time-sensitive trip, because the subway has been known to have delays. A lot. I don't know what app you're using for the subway, but if you have any trouble with it, Google Maps is actually pretty good for subway directions (that's what I use).
Also, if you see Mickey Mouse in Times Square, don't stop for a picture. Wait until you get to WDW. Mickey Mouse in Times Square expects a tip and might be a creep.

And if you need anything when you're in NYC, let me know. I'm usually around (during the week more than weekends, though) and happy to help if I can.

As for WDW ... if you can get them (I think you can do it through the app now), use additional FP+ after you finish your first 3. It can save you some time waiting in lines. That's the biggest tip I give everyone - everything you want may not be available, but it doesn't hurt to check what's there and using a FP+ might save you a few minutes.

First off - have a great and safe trip!

Are you good with power adapters and cords and stuff?

Tickets, magic bands, etc?

A sign for summer slam that says "The DIS 3:16"?
Thanks Phil!
Yep, heaps of adapters and cords! I'm definitely safe on that front!

Great sign idea!! Leigh will probably be wearing his North Melbourne Kangaroos jersey (or waving it around. Google it for optics) so keep an eye out for us. Phil, you may have seen our seat assignments on FB? We're dead on in front of the camera shot in the first riser seats above floor level.
Not sure how I'd go with a sign though. Also, did you know that Stone Cold was my fave all time wrestler? Or was that a fluke?

I'll have to download google maps, and the app I downloaded was just called "NYC subway" it said it was MTA approved.
Also, I've seen those creep AF characters in Times Square and we definitely kept clear. They creep me out anyway. I'll leave those to the unknowing tourists making peace signs....

And if you need anything when you're in NYC, let me know. I'm usually around (during the week more than weekends, though) and happy to help if I can.
Thanks babe! I appreciate that! xx

Do you have a list? Have you checked it. Any last minute items you can't get here?

I recently took a business trip and - suffice it to say - I now own two new ties. It was a shopping victory however so I can't complain to much.

Hope you have fun.

Yep, have a list with things left to pack that were needed to get me ready for work today (makeup, hair brush etc)
I have a "bag of drugs" containing all my preferred pain killers, hay fever tablets, heartburn meds and relief, cold and flu tablets (that @disneysteve has advised me I'd need a prescription for over there)
So for the most part, I think I've covered everything I wouldn't easily be able to get in NYC, WDW maybe a bit tougher, but home comforts are covered I think!

Woohoo Have FUN! I expect a full on report when you get back.

I can't help you with NYC since I have never been.

As for WDW, relax, enjoy everything. Try new things, do things you've already done. See MSEP one more time. Take advantage of MM+ as much as you can. Park Hop if you can. Experience AK at night. And once again have fun!

Well if you do need any prescription meds while you're here, that can easily be arranged. Hopefully that won't be necessary though.

Oh really?

Last minute reminders? Dinner is at 5 on Friday. What more could you possibly need to know? :yay::yay::yay:

Hmmm, something to make me sleep the whole plane ride home perhaps? Lol

Yeah, like a lint roller (stray dog hairs following me everywhere), travel snakes and ladders, inflatable travel pillows, my actual pillow.

Haha, yes, I have printed out my confirmation for that!
Now just fingers crossed @CampbellzSoup can make it!

Nothing I can think of! Have fun. You'll be in my cities! I'm realitively new to Disunpluggdd section of the boards but I live in NYC so if you want to meet another Diser hit me up.

Care to elaborate on the more ways? I'm all set on the obvs. No baby princess Jes' needed thanks!

Haha, great. And yes, sunblock!
Also, enjoy everything. Soak it in. Stick to whatever plan you made, but take time to bask in everything.

Also, random thought, frozen butterbeer is better than regular butter beer. Though, its like comparing an ice cream float to a root beer soda drink.

Also, is that 15.5 hour flight nonstop??
Good gawd. Thats awful! 7 to 8 is long for me when I'd go back and forth from FL to Germany.

What's the layover when you land in LA for the NY flight?

I bet y'all are gonna sleep good that night!

Oh yes, I'm a #teamfrozen when it comes to butter beer!

Yep, non-stop, 4 hour layover then 5.5 on to NYC. From door to door, it's like 26.5-27 hours all going well.
Then we'll check into our hotel, get changed, go for dinner and then crash

Have a great trip!!!

One tip though, don't know if you are using credit cards while in the states. If you are, did you call the card company(ies) to let them know you were traveling abroad. That way they don't put a stop on your card when they see lots of charges.
