Last min. trip - need suggestions please

Please give me your 2 cents..

Hubby and I are going to Disney for the first vacation alone since honeymoon 12 years ago (will be taking kids on one in Sept). We have decided that this week is the best time for it since my Dad and his wife volunteered to babysit for us. For a trip Thur. to Sun. (July 23-26) do you think it would be impossible to pay for the Disney Dining plan and expect to get ressies for these table restaurants:
Boma
Hoopdeedoo Revue or maybe California Grill (2 credit ones)


I know, nothing like last minute planning right Or... would we be better off to just pay as we go and hope for openings/call from the hotel? Please be gentle on me with your thoughts

Did you check online? Being less than 90 days out you will be able to see availability at Boma and Cali grill.

BTW sounds like a lot of fun doing a spur of the moment trip - Enjoy!

I checked and Boma is definitely available at 6pm and 7:45 on the 23rd. You might be in luck!

How fun! I think a spur of the moment trip is great. 1999-2000 we booked a Dec. 26- Jan 1 trip 3 weeks in advance because we figured if the world blew up at Y2K, we might as well be at WDW. We just got lucky that there was a cancellation at POR (then Dixie Landings), and we had a great time! If I were you, I would not do the dining plan at this late date and for that short of a trip. I would be worried that you wouldn't get in to the TS you want and get your money's worth. They do ADRs online now, so if I were you, I would jump on the online system and see what you can find. Maybe you will get lucky.

I totally forgot that the ADR's could be made on-line!

Hi!

I booked last Friday and we're leaving on July 29 and I was able to get Ohana for dinner so I was quite excited. The other restaurants I wanted to go to are not THAT popular so it wasnt a problem getting an ADR.... (Sci-Fi, T-Rex etc)
