TL;dR: KTTK at 8:30. CRT at 2:25, DME from CR at 4:30. Too close?

My last day of my upcoming Disney trip is January 8, the day after the WDW Marathon.

My girlfriend and I decided to do a Keys to the Kingdom tour at 8:30 that day to wind things down. Especially after figuratively running around The World for 5 days (and in her case, literally running for four), we decided to want to take things easy before we go, and to see the utilidors.

I thought about the lunch option within the tour, and, honestly, Tomorrowland Terrace doesn't excite either of us. If it's Columbia Harbour House, we might perk our ears up a little more.

I was looking for a plan B if it's the Terrace, and what did I find? A Cinderella's Royal Table for 2:25‽ Maybe we'll just take in a light snack for our tour lunch, and then eat there for our real meal.

Now the question. Our DME bus will be picking us up at 4:30 from The Contemporary. Will we have enough time to eat at CRT and make it back over to the hotel before saying goodbye to The Happiest Place on Earth? Meeting the princesses isn't high on the list, just being able to eat a good meal and then going is more important. We'd have basically 2 hours, ok maybe an hour and a half, before we have to mosey back to CR, provided that CRT isn't running late, but it seems to do so more often than not.

You're probably okay, but I'd ask myself how comfortable I am with getting an uber to the airport if I don't make it or am I going to be looking at my watch every two minutes during the meal stressing over making it back. I wouldn't want my last thing to be stressful, but I think I could alleviate that by having the uber in the back of my mind.

That's a good point. Thank you!

How long does a CRT meal typically take?

If meeting the princesses isn't a priority and eating good food is, I would ditch CRT (and the upcharge you are spending to meet the princesses) and either eat at Skipper Canteen in the park or The Wave back at CR. Why stress yourself out unnecessarily if CRT isn't a priority?

I second ditching the CRT -- of many reviews i have read the food isn't worth what you are paying. Maybe look at liberty tree or skipper cantina. Even look at one of the resort restaurants. Kona at poly was great when we went last for dinner. Then you can grab a dole whip after your meal and head back to CR.

We stayed at BLT one trip. We ate at the Wave before boarding DME. It was a good meal and much less chaotic that CRT. That way you are already at the Contemporary too so you don't have to worry about walking back. I think that is probably enough time, but what if they are running 30 min behind seating guests that day? Then you would really be pushing it. I think the food is good there and the atmosphere is great, but I think the Wave would be way less stressful.

Sorry, badly worded. I would like to see the princesses, but if it's between the princesses and getting out, yeah, I gotta get out.

About Skipper Canteen and The Wave: we weren't thrilled about the menu at JNSC (that's a mouthfull), and I've already got a reservation at The Wave :D

I've been trying to shoehorn CRT into my trip, and this seems to be the only time I can do it. Everything else is taken up by running, slightly earlier park hours, and early bedtimes.

Thank for the insight so far, from everyone. Giving me a lot to think about.
