Am I correct in assuming that the day you leave you cannot use any dining plan credits? If I arrive on a Saturday and check out the next Saturday, but go to a theme park on the day I am checking out of POFQ, can I use any dining plan credits? Also,we wanted to have breakfast at Ohanas the day that we leave but now I am wondering if we are eligible.

That is a good question, glad you asked it. Our flight is not until later in the day (6:00), but we have to check out at 11:00, so how does it work with the dining plan?

You only get credits for the amount of nights you spend at the hotel. So if you have left over credits the day that you leave you may still use them up until midnight. At least this is what I was told.

Now I'm more confused. If you can use them on the last day, then can you use them on the first day when you arrive? Because that would mean you'd have 8 days to use the dining plan, when you're only staying 7 nights.

Your credits are for the number of nights you are staying. So if you have 2 people on the dining plan staying 3 nights, you get a total of 6 TS credits, 6 CS credits and 6 Snack credits. You can use them at any time from the time you check in untill midnight of the day you check out. This is how I understand it, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Exactly! You really don't have enough meal credits for the number of "days " you are staying. We arrived early AM and departed at 6:30pm. We actually had snack credits left over though. You are able to order sooooo much food, we shared a couple CS meals and had more than enough for the whole trip.

But beware, when we were there in September, we had a problem cashing in our CS and snack credits after noon, the day of departure. We were able to after some help from a manager. The cashier at the CR, said this was happening alot. Maybe its fixed by now.

This is 100% correct.

What do you mean cashing in your credits???

I checked on this just a few days ago. The written information in my package states that he credits are good from time of arrival until midnight of hte checkout date. So though dining credits are purchased by the number of nights--ie: 6 day 5 night package the credits are valid for all six days. Therefore if you still have credits left on day of departure you will still have the ability to use these until midnight on that day.

I think they just meant using their Room Key card to use the Dining Plan credits to pay for the CS meals.

We went to WDW over Thanksgiving. We checked out on Friday, Nov 25 at 9:00 a.m. Our room resort keys still got us in MGM that day, and still had 4 counter service credits and 5 snack credits.

We ate lunch that day at MGM Studios, then got a to go cheese tray at the resort while waiting for our Magical Express bus that evening. We also grabbed the rice krispie treats, a bottle of lemonade, and a bag of chips with our remaining snack credits.

They are still good if you have any left even after you check out until midnight the day you do check out.
