Hey guys,

hoping you can help me!

Having a little last min panic about the last day of my holiday!

My plan is to get up early-ish, pack and take all our luggage to left luggage to store till will leave resort. Check out and head to Crystal Palace for breakfast in the hire car. After Crystal Palace drop the hire car back to the Dolphin hotel car centre, then make our way back to our hotel All Stars Resort to catch our transfer back to the airport. I have based it on these timings...

Crystal Palace breakfast 10am
Drop hire car back 1pm and catch bus back to All stars resort and pick up luggage
Airport transfer from All stars resort 2.30pm (roughly, not sure exact time they will pick up but heard its about 3 hours before flight?)
Flight 5.55pm

Can anyone see any probs with this? I am just worried out booking Crystal Palace for breakfast either not getting there in time, or being there too long it has a knock on effect for the rest of our day, which I need to avoid so we aren't late getting back to the airport. I also don't want to have to cancel the meal at last minute, due to feeling we dont have enough time on check out day, as it will have our last TS credit riding on it and being the last day it will be lost and not used (which would be a waste!! lol)

As I have never been to Disneyworld before I am finding it hard to figure out approximately how long it will take us to get between places so I can get a rough idea of whether this plan will work or not?

Please tell me if I am just panicking too much! :rotfl:

Here's a couple of things you have to factor in: When you go to the MK, you will drive to the parking lot at the TTC, park, take the ferry or monorail to MK, then enter the park. Figure 60-90 minutes for breakfast. Add extra time to account for late seating (this is practically a given, since you are eating late).

Reverse the process to pick up your car again. Drive to Dolphin and drop off car. Now how do you plan to get back to your resort?? You can't take a bus directly from Dolphin to All Star. So you either walk all the way over to DHS and take a bus. Or take the first park bus that comes along to the Dolphin, go to that park and transfer to an AllStar bus. Or you could take a taxi back to your resort.

OR

Drop the car off at the Dolphin first thing in the morning.
Catch the bus to the MK
Have breakfast.
Catch the bus back to the AllStar resort.

If you've never been to WDW before, I don't think I would spend my last morning eating. I would be hitting all my favorite rides and attractions.

Here's what I would do:
Get to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop.
Fastpass Space Mountain.
Hit Splash mountain and Thunder mountain.
Fastpass Peter Pan (is it still open??)
Ride Space Mountain.
Hit Haunted Mansion
Ride Peter Pan...

You get my drift. We always spend that last morning enjoying our favorite rides and attractions; the food is an afterthought on that last day.

You get one table service per day. Why not enjoy a breakfast on some other day when you have a late dinner planned, or do a 2-credit meal somewhere along the way instead? (If you can get in, we love Le Cellier. And my sister just convinced me to book the Hoop de Do Revue; that's 2 credits too!)

I agree with the PP. On all of our vacations to DW we would rather re-visit our favorite rides on the last day.

However, here are a couple of suggestions for your plan/timeframe which should work as long as it is a domestic flight. ME will pick you up at your resort approximately 3 hours before a domestic flight or 4 hours before an international one.

Dropping off the car at the Dolphin is easy. You leave it with the valet and he will give you a receipt. Only the driver needs to go so the rest of your family can go straight to the park from your resort. After dropping off the car just take the bus from the Dolphin to the MK or walk next door to the Boardwalk Inn and get a taxi to the Contemporary. From there it's a short walk to the MK where you can meet up with the rest of your family. If you tell the taxi driver you want to go to the MK he will take you to the TTC so the Contemporary is the better option.)

We've even dropped the car off late the night before so we don't have to deal with it on our last morning. Gives us more last minute playing time! :)

With your plan you will be taking extra time parking at the TTC and getting to the MK, then after breakfast getting back to your car, then to the Dolphin, then back to your resort (you'll need a taxi from the Boardwalk because someone mentioned that the Swan/Dolphin isn't as taxi friendly) or you'll need to walk/boat to DHS to catch a bus to the AllStars.

If you're flying internationally you definitely need to drop the car off first thing in the morning or the night before. You won't have time after breakfast.

Hmmm...

another thought if you really want a Character Breakfast that morning...

Switch your ressies to Cape May Character Breakfast... at the Beach Club... and not far from the Dolphin...

That saves you all the hassle of going into MK, tickets, etc... leave after breakfast and drop off the car about 3 resorts down the block....
