Well, it was quite a chore getting into the parking structure (security was a breeze), but the line to get in CA was 30 minutes (ugh). The line for TOT went up and up and up. By the time we got our fast passes it was 9:30 and the line was 2 hours, the park was open for 30 minutes (1 hour for magic whatever) and our fast pass time is......2:05. Wow. Sure am glad I was able to ride 10 times on Christmas Eve. I just wanted one more ride....
So sad :(

We joined the Final Check out party last night, and it was so worth it. Line was never longer than 15 mins. Kids rode it 20 times and rode Soarin' over and over, didn't even have to exit it. Definitely worth the money!

The party was very tempting and I almost pulled the trigger. Oh well. 20 times sounds amazing!!!!!!

At 10:40 today the fast passes are all gone :(

If the lines were shorter, I'd wait, but not in crazy long lines. Oh well.

I'll miss it!

We just went to see Rogue One and saw the preview for the new Guardians movie. Hmmmm.... a different vibe for sure, one that didn't seem distinctively Disney honestly. They said "*******s" and "Screw it!" in the preview which seemed a bit shocking to me.

Obviously it's Marvel and they will remain popular and make money, but I will definitely miss my favorite creepy ride, RIP Tower of Terror!

It was a great last ride! I enjoyed the show one last time. The line has been consistently at 2 hours today, so I only rode it the one time, but it was my favorite ride at CA.

Booooooooooooo! Sob. Sniffff.

I was looking for some TOT merch on eBay since they had nothing good in the shops this week (nothing I wanted anyway) and saw someone posted their fastpast from tonight for late checkout for $50! Wow! The slips for sorry, you already have an active fast pass are even on there as well as some blank slips. Crazy!

We also saw the guardians preview and thought.....they're changing TOT for this .....?????? WHY??? What in the world are they thinking????
:crazy2: :crazy2: o_O :furious:

Totally agree with both of these! When we saw the preview at Rogue 1 this week, I made the same comment to my friend about the language for kids and can't believe they are changing ToT for that. I just saw the first movie on TV this week, and was not impressed. I know many loved it, but who knows if the second will even be a hit, and you are going to get rid of a classic?:sad2: I guess I shouldn't be surprised with how they did FEA at Epcot with the first Frozen movie, but Maelstrom was not the same obviously(although still was about Norway, not characters, which I still think is what World Showcase should be about). At least ToT is staying at WDW for now for us East Coasters.

I don't think Rogue One was a kid film IMO (it was much darker than any of the others in the saga), which is maybe why they thought the trailer was properly suited?

My family's thought as well! My husband asked "isn't it a family movie?" I said I didn't know. I have never seen it nor will I. I've decided to forgo all Marvel flicks.

Families include all ages not just littles. IMO it's nice having a 'family' movie that appeals to older children. Guardians of the Galaxy was a fun movie and so were many of the Marvel movies. My daughter will really miss ToT and I'm not sure about replacing it with Guardians but don't knock the movies unless you've seen em. :)

Great attraction, glad you were able to get on one last time.

The tram driver on the night of the TOT party said that all of Hollywood Land would be Marvel Land in 2019. I'll miss TOT, but there's a much bigger master plan in the works.

I was there as well yesterday at rope drop. I got on TOT within 20 minutes and after I got off the ride it was a two hour wait. Luckily I grabbed a Fastpass for noon that same day. I heard that when the park closed the wait for TOT was four hours.

Had a friend text me saying they were waiting and the line was 4 hours... Insane!

Final wait at close was announced as three hours.

I was the last legitimately allowed new entry into the line right before they officially closed entry and would have been the last in line because of it, but a lot of people were milling about refusing to line up. So I was among the final 25 or so people.

Actual wait time was only an hour to clear the line.
