Last day for Characters in Disney Hotels

Heard today that this is the last day that Characters will be in hotels. I think this is a big disappointment as it is the perk of staying in the Disney Hotels, seeing Mickey or Goofy etc. in the hotel. What do other people think?

I have mixed feelings. It was wonderful to have characters in hotel, queued meets, no rush. But we always go for EMH, so having characters in park is also good. And maybe different photo locations. We just have to wait and see how it goes. I hope for queued meets!

I have mixed feelings too. Whilst it is nice to get pictures in the hotels with the characters when there is a shorter queue, I am holding out to form a full opinion once I have seen what the alternative is with the characters now being in the park for early entry. We always get to the park for EE, so hopefully there will be a wider variety of characters in the park at this time rather than just the 2 in the hotel.
