Is anyone watching this?

Although I am not usually into politics, we liked the "political" comic from San Francisco. His joke in the auditions was the only funny one about Swartzeneggar that we heard (probably because unlike the rest he didn't try to do an impression).
It went something like, "How do you explain the marriage of Maria Shriver to Arnold Swartzeneggar? It must have been some top secret experiment to breed a bullet-proof Kennedy."

Cheers :)

I sure hope this season ends better than last. I don't feel the funniest comedian won last time :(

I thought the old hippie, Jim Wiggins, should've been in the house. Would have made it very interesting

Re. last year's winner, as soon as my brother saw it, he called me and said, "Dat's not funny!" Lol :)

I know *I'M* funnier than Dat Phan.
:)

Yes, we're watching this season - I'm surprised at the number of "already established" comedians in the show this season. Like Kathleen Madigan, Jim Norton, Pablo Francisco, etc. These folks, while I think they are ALL very funny anyway, have already gotten 30 minutes Comedy Central Specials...so people know them and their act.... I'm just surprised they would be allowed to mix in with the amateurs.

Mark my words : Jim Norton and ANT will not be getting along in that house. It is going to be FUNNY.

I love that show! I don't remember laughing at TV that hard in years!

I agree, Dat Phan was NOT the funniest guy last year. Unfortunately he became everyone elses' victim and I think that's why he got the vote in the end. HOPEFULLY this year it will be based on talent instead of who is felt sorry for.

Too bad the old hippie didn't make it... he was great! On the other hand, some of the "cute" girls that made it to the next level were hardly that funny! The fact that there were 4 out of 5 male judges might have had something to do with that....

I watched the first night, but not the second. Did they pare down the 40 to even fewer? Did the old hippie guy with the deep voice get cut? I wonder about the guy I remember from Boston, if he got cut that night. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, just that he did a skit about trying to be tough when drinking from a straw. I never saw any previous season, so if anyone can fill me in on what happens, and who this Dat Phan was, I'd really appreciate it. How many people do they usually eliminate per week? Although it was on for 2 nights in a row last week, will it be on once a week-for how many weeks?

The second episode brought the pack down to 20 people total, they're moving on to the semi-finals in Las Vegas. The guy from Boston, Frank Santorelli , actually, did get cut. This is unfortunate, as I thought he did a great set - esp. the part about looking tough when drinking from a straw! :) They usually boot one person a week, if I recall correctly from last season.

Dat Phan is who won last season's LCS - He wasn't as funny as Dave Mordal, in my opinion, who I thought should have won. Ah well.

I believe it's on Tuesdays ....

....Buck Star!! Do you believe that guy???? Ya gotta say,he has determination!
What's with that weird woman and the facial distortions???
I'm kinda glad she made it. I think she may be funny but wicked
strange.....
I liked Jim Wiggins! He shoulda made the cut. I don't think Ants will last. The gay thing gets tired quick.

I'm watching again this year, but with a bit of wariness. It was already made public that the celebrity judges of the Vegas round were very upset because the people chosen to go into the house were not the people they voted for (and not the funniest people). The show's producers simply said they wanted the best dynamics in the house, so it didn't matter if they were the funniest comedians. I understand their logic, but I don't think it's cool. We'll see how it goes...

Thanks for the info! This sounds like something I'll be watching on Tuesday nights. Didn't know when it was on-thanks, looking forward to it, even though that guy from Boston got cut.

I really felt bad for the married couple when the husband didn't make it but the wife did. I really liked his set more than I did hers. I hope the winner this year is better than last years, by the way where is he these days????

I'm rooting for most of the female comics(it would have been great if the married couple went to the next level since the wife advanced) but otherwise I'll wait and see who makes it into the house then decide

But i liked the Russian kid,he should have advanced

"Hi, I'm Buck Star, and this is the Buck Star show..."

I laughed my pants off when that kid went to each city. I'm glad they gave him the chance to advance, maybe he'll work on his act and make it next year!

Thanks! I didn't realize that!

DID NOT LIKE BONNIE!! I suppose she got thru for the house dynamics...

Wednesday? I tried to watch it last night, but didn't see it listed.:o

Aww...it was on at 9pm last night...sorry you missed it.

You missed some "drama" with Drew Carey and Brett Butler over who they voted for vs. who got in the house. There were definitely some folks that (I think) should have made it who didn't.
