LAST CALL for the 10/18/03 Eastern Magic Cruise!

True enough, Loretta!

My dad was in basic training in Charleston, SC during the war and said he loved it there, despite the circumstances!

Still, I'll opt for St. Maarten, if you please! :)

No Docs again today.

I'm glad to see that Isabel is weakening!

Has anyone gotten their excursion confirmations from DCL yet?

Paul

Paul,
I wish we could even decide on excursions!
Has anyone been to Coral World on St. Thomas? I was thinking that might appeal to our whole group...looks like there is lots to do there. Wonder how easy it would be to do on our own? Do we try and rent a vehicle ahead of time? Plus, DD wants to see some of those castles.
And what to do on St. Martin. I wanted the Golden eagle Catamaran. But could we just snorkel on a beach ourselves?
I don't know... I can't think right now!LOL!

Loretta

Got our docs today! We booked while onboard last year, just in case anyone can figure out who gets their docs first.

We are Karen & Ed from Pennsylvania. Also with us will be our sons Steve & Kevin, who both live in California. This will be the first cruise for Steve & Kevin. Ed & I have been on the Magic quite a few times, so we're looking forward to being back.

Hope the next few weeks go fast.

Loretta - We did the Golden Eagle Catamaran a couple of cruises ago. The snorkling was not that good because the water had been churned up by an earlier storm that had gone through. The crew realized that and keep the booze flowing (not that I would touch that evil liquid). Anyway, our two teenagers were with us and as we were coming back into port singing and dancing to the ever popular YMCA, the embarrassment on our kids faces was priceless! Overall (from what I remember) we had an excellent time on that excursion!

Paul

Hey Loretta,

We're doing the Golden Eagle. (at 7:45! What are WE thinking????)

Good luck with work.....have some pixie dust**********

Hello!

Glad you're going with us.

Where in PA are you? We moved to Tampa from Pittsburgh. (HUGE difference!)

We are not from PA.....DH was transfered there. However, we enjoyed our stay.

Loretta -- We're going to Coral World on St. Thomas. At least my mom and DD are. The men are going golfing. Anyhow, Coral World looked like it would be something my daughter, who is three, would enjoy.

Paul -- I had DCL fax our excursion confirmations to us the day I sent it in (which was the first day we could make reservations). It's a good thing too, since they never imputted our Castaway Cay choices! I called them and ended up getting one of the last times for parasailing (which is the one thing I wanted to do!).

Here's hoping that our group sees smooth waters . . .:D

Welcome to our group Rikersmom!!!! This is gonna be a great trip and I hope you will all join us at sailaway!! :) :)

No docs here yet! :(

We booked the 12metre Regatta in St. Marteen
No excursion in St Thomas, but considering doing the Paradise Point Tramway (there's shopping and drinks way up there....so I am in! :) )

Can't wait to cruise!

We got our confirmations for the 5-star St. John snorkel adventure. But no docs yet. :(

Had a dream about being on the cruise last night...very hard to wake up and go to work this morning, just wanted to keep dreaming about it until we set sail. :)

It's getting so close, yet still so far away.

dreams of cruising....sounds nice to me! I am counting down the days I have to work...only 17 more work days before I leave for FL!!!!! (not counting today)

I want my docs!

Getting close - only 22 more work days here before we leave.

Somebody's gotta work to pay for Kamy's drinking habits. ;)

We got confirmation for our snorkeling excursion, but we still ain't got no docs!

'Beano'

My drinking habits are one thing....but my spa obsession, that's another! :p

Thanks for the welcome!

Tchrmom--we live in the western suburbs of Philadelphia--about as far from Pittsburgh as you can get and still be in PA. We moved here a long time ago from Stuart, FL. You're right--big difference!

So far it sounds like we'll be a varied group--some folks around our ages (don't ask, don't tell) and some around my sons' ages (26 and 29).

Hope the rest of you receive your docs soon.
Karen

:bounce: :Pinkbounc
Well count us in! I'm driving everyone crazy at work counting down each day I go into work! CAN'T WAIT!

Writing from Isabel central!:(

Really crappy out there. Got to go home from work last night, looks as if the worst of what Fayetteville will get should be right around the time I have to go back in...

Go figure, tomorrow is supposed to be bright and sunny again:confused:
Hope this is the last one of the season!

Loretta

Loretta- stay safe and dry if you can! Hope everything is okay where you are...

Still no docs....hmmmmmm

from Renee:)

Loretta....I hope you weathered the storm well enough....Please let us know how you're doing.

Come on folks....let's cruise!

Thanks for the good thoughts!:)

Woke up to NO POWER! but only for about an hour.
Winds are gusting pretty heavy, but this has been such a wet-n-wild summer, we've actually seen worse!
Not much rain yet, either. That's very good news, since several small creeks nearby tend to wash over some of the roads I have to get to work on.
But DH is probably going to drive me in, so I'll be chauffeured! Door-to-door service...can't beat it!LOL!

We are looking at a mess in the yard, no trees down yet, but clean up means you are still around, so...

There was a piece on the news urging people who haven't complied with the coastal evacuation, to please do so beafore it gets any worse. And if you chose to stay and watch, please find a permanant marker and write your name and NOK on your forearm:eek:

Going to get ready for work. Thanks everyone again for all the prayers and good thoughts! Boy, am I ready to cruise!!

Loretta

Hi all -

I have spent the last 3 hours or so editing video of our Disney Magic cruise from last year. Castaway Cay, Palo, deck parties, the dining rooms, etc.

If that doesn't put you in the mood, nothing will!!

I am so ready to get back on board "my" ship and sail away. (You DID know it was mine, right?)

3 weeks from tomorrow we leave for Florida.

Then, for 2 weeks, we will experience Cocoa Beach, the Disney Wonder, Epcot and MK, Old Key West, the Disney Magic, and I'm sure countless laughs with our friends.

Oh well. Somebody's gotta do it. ;)

(Now, some docs would be nice!!)
