For the first time we are staying on I Drive instead of Disney but got a good deal with Hotels.com to spend our last 5 nights at AKL. I am so confused with fastpass+ & adr's. Do I just get a Disney Ref to connect to Disney site? Can I book in advance or am I counted as offsite? Help badly needed, Thanks in advance.

Hi hun, how are you

For the dates that you are offsite, ADRs are at 180 days prior to the date you want to reserve. For FP+ for the dates you are offsite, you can make them 30 days prior.

For your onsite dates, you can make 5 days' worth of ADRs 180 days prior to your check-in date and, for those days, you will be able to make your FP+ reservations 60 days in advance too.

So, if you were arriving in Orlando on 1st August but not checking in to AKL until 10th August, you could make ADRs 180 days prior for each day, up to 9th August. You could make FP+ reservations 30 days prior each day, up to 9th August.

From 10th August onwards, you would be entitled to make your FP+ reservations 60 days prior - so you would effectively be making FP+ bookings for your onsite days prior to the ones you make for your offsite days.

ETA: as far as linking the booking to My Disney experience, I am not sure if the hotels.com booking reference will work but you could give it a go. You might need to contact them to get a Dinsey booking reference that you can link.

Hi Joh, I'm good, how's you?
Thanks for the info. We are at Rosen Inn 18/8-27/8 then AKL 27/8-1/9. Doing us/ioa, sw & bg whilst at R.Inn, then Disney while at AKL. You there this Aug? think I read that you're not.
Glad to know that I can still book in advance, think it might prove difficult to get a Dis ref, but fingers crossed.

I'm pretty good thanks. No August for us this year (October) but maybe next year and probably at least 3 or 4 years after that since Daniel starts secondary in September!

Even if you can't get a Disney ref, you will still be able to book FP+ 30 days in advance (although not ideal as you don't get the advantage for staying on site then)

Cheers Joh, managed to get a number from Hotels.com (after much determination). Do you know how many digits it should be? this one is 9 numbers?

Years fly by, it doesnt seem 2 mins since you were taking Daniel on his first Disney trip.
Is October your mum & daughter trip?

our Mum/Daughter trip was March - I am just starting the trip report. October is a family trip, with the in-laws and a few of our friends popping in and out along the way :)

Mostly the Disney numbers are 12 digits but my Swan hotel confirmation no. was 9 digits so give it a try, you never know.

I was just looking to ask same question.... We are offsite at sheraton vistana for 14 nights then 2 nights in art of animation - some great replies here feel relieved I'm not the only one doing it strange :-)
