The temperature will probably be similar, but hurricane season really starts to heat up in August. That is why I chose to go July 17-23. Although there is still a chance of a hurricane in July, statistically it is much lower than August.

As far as crowds, it may be a little more crowded in July for the reasons above, but I am not sure.

Crowds will drop the second week of August, not a huge difference, but any little bit helps. The heat will be the same. I would choose August and hope some kids go back to school. I think the UG has a lower number for crowds the second week.
