I noticed the Package Pricing in the winter brochure that the first 2 weeks of Feb are "super value" then the second 2 weeks are "moderate" and the first couple of weeks in March drop down to "value." Can anyone explain this spike? Are there holidays or school beaks the last couple of weeks of Feb that account for this?

The UK half term falls into the last two weeks of Feb. I'm not sure about other European holidays on those weeks though.

Does that make for packed parks? I have to assume the weather isn't very inviting in February.

No where near packed parks - busy but certainly not packed. The cold weather puts a lot of people off :)

I'd avoid 15th Feb next year until beginning of March - thats French zone c (Paris area) school holidays, and the parks are always busier when the local schools are on holiday, even in February.

Its all relative of course, if you're used to going in school holidays anyway then the Feb half term is usually not too bad, but if like me you're used to going low season midweek with no French school holidays at the same time, it can make a difference.

So now I'm considering the week commencing march 3rd or 10th. How would those compare to Half term crowds? When do the Welsh holidays come into play, isn't that in March?

No school holidays here in wales in march. St.davids day is march 1st but its not a national day off. Disney have a few festivities to celebrate st.davids day but trust me, there won't be 10,000 mad leek munching, wellie wearing welsh people running amock in disney!!

The Netherlands aso have a holiday in the last two weeks of February.
I have been there in February for the last three years and it's pretty crowded. Waiting times of 45 minutes to an hour are normal, and in the studios even longer.
We've had two years of reasonable weather (10 to 15 degrees celcius) but last year it was freezing. That put a bit of a damper on our trip actually, even though it was sunny and dry, waiting for the parade and Dreams was no fun. We actually went back to the hotel regularly to get warm again.

We are going for the first time in february. I think the english holidays have finished when we arrive but the French ones are just starting.
Is that 45 mins to an hour for the big rides? or also for the ones that are normally a walk on? This thread has taken a bit of the shine off my super bargain february trip :(

I have gone twice during the last couple weeks in February, but in my experience just the big rides had long waits and we would get fastpasses. Anything else I could walk right on or maybe at max wait 10 minutes which isn't really a big deal to me.

@addverbaan: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take away the shine off your trip! The wait is mostly for the big attractions (Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Star Tours).
Are you staying in a Disney hotel or do you have annual passes? If so, I advice you to do the early magic hours, then go back to the hotel around 9.30 and have breakfast then (nice and quiet and you can get warm again). Then back to the parks and make good use of the fastpass system. Also, I've noticed that the Studio's tend to be less crowded in the late afternoon.
Please don't be discouraged: getting a good deal always makes me feel great, and with a little planning, you can make any trip magical.
