I had mine done almost 4 years ago now and am so glad I finally did. I had chickened out on a previous attempt. The 2nd time, I made sure they kept me away from any tv screens showing other people getting it done. Once I looked at those, I started freaking out. I had to just breathe deep and not think about it (the valium helped too!).
One thing I cannot stress enough is to do all of your eye drops! I got a bit lazy on mine and I ended up with one eye not as strong as the other due to dryness in the healing process. I could go back for an enhancement, but I'm still a big chicken!!

I can't imagine being able to wake up and see. And especially now since I get up several times during the night to tend to DD it would be nice to not put my glasses on and off multiple times! Maybe technology will change and I will get to be a candidate.
during the procedure- like a burning smell??? Yuck!
