Hey, anyone have experience with a lash lift and tint? I currently have eyelash extensions but for the first time I had a reaction to the glue. I would love to hear your pros and cons of the lift and tint.

Thanks!

I had mine done a few times. Never heard about the tint. I have never had the glue bother me. You could ask if there is another glue to use. What is a tint?

A tint is like dying the lashes. No need for mascara and that is what I'm excited about. I think it lasts like 4-6 weeks for the tint. Quite honestly, I don't mind giving up on the extensions. BTW, I love your username.

Thank you. I guess when I did it they did not tint the eyelashes then. I was thinking about using false eyelashes. But thanks for explaining it to me.

I haven't had it done, but my friend runs a studio and has both started offering this and getting it done to herself and she's raving about it.

My nail lady owns her shop and wanted to branch out. She went to school and now is offering these along with many skin procedures. This one intrigues me.

It sounds so tempting....
but did you know that in some areas it's Illegal for salons to even perform the procedure? They say the dyes are not approved for lashes or brows despite some ( who also aren't even licensed cosmetologists) that are offering/performing the service.
I guess research would be best ... perhaps newer approved stuff on market now??

Good luck!!

I was reading on the web about that from years past but it has changed from what I am reading. She is definitely licensed and legal here at least. Thanks for your concern adisneyaunt.

I believe that was from a looooooong time ago. Here in Massachusetts it was banned after some idiot dyed her eyelashes with hair dye and damaged her eyes. Knee jerk state reaction (must have been a friend/relative of a congressperson) was to ban the safe eyelash dying procedure. Someone came to his/her senses and reversed the ******* decision.

I've had tints for years, love it, but my lashes are getting thinner as I age so the dye effect isn't so dramatic. Love the individual lash extensions too, but the last set didn't stay on very long. Latisse burns my eyelids. Wish I wasn't so vain about my lashes :)

DisneyOma, my thyroid is wiping out mine. Length and volume, LOL. Plus being a redhead they are pretty close to invisible.

Redhead here too - why couldn't I have been the auburn/dark lash type, rather than the strawberry blonde one? Never thought about a thyroid issue. I've been taking Biotin and it has helped, both lashes and hair are thicker.

I was a bright red but with time it has faded to strawberry blonde. I hated my red hair and now I want it back. I guess we are never happy. I've been using "Grande Lash" and it has helped to thicken and lengthen my lashes to the point where I can consider a lift and tint. Go me, LOL.
