Does this work? I put one together before aI left for work this morning - with regular lasagna noodles and lots of liquid. I'm debating whether I need a back up plan!

I had never heard of this before so I Googled it and what do you know, there are a bunch of recipes for it! It must work, but I've never tried it before. How did you put it together?

I did a veggie version with red tomato, basil sauce at the bottom. Broken up lasagna noodles, ricotta & mozzerella & parmesan & egg, spinach mushrooms and pesto sauce, and repeated the layers and topped with more sauce and parmesan cheese. It loooked good - but I'm worried about the pasta cooking. I will report back tomorrow!

Sounds yummy!

As long as there is enough liquid in there the noodles should cook.

*sits back and waits for report*

It worked! The noodles were (oddly) perfectly cooked despite being in the crockpot for 8 hours. I actually liked it better then my baked version as it wasn't runny at all. All in a successful crock pot experiment.

:cheer2:

Woo Hoo! I'm going to give it a try! :thumbsup2

I make it all the time and it turns out fine. I use the recipe for it out of the Fix It And Forget About It cookbook. I usually cook it for less time than it says though.

I am so glad that this was posted. I have been wanting to try it but never had the nerve. Thanks!
