DS was debating with kids on the bus exactly which state was the biggest. The kids on the bus all insisted it was California and DS and I were saying Texas.....(only thinking of the continental US, I didn't even think of Alaska!!!)

According to http://www.ipl.org/div/kidspace/stateknow/popchart.html, Alaska is the largest in land mass, but California is the largest in population. Texas is second on both lists......so you are never too old to learn something new.

BTW, Browneye, thanks for the Christmas countdown, I always like the reminder!

No, not finished yet, but trying real hard to finish. Most of my gifts are being shipped to the US and I need to have them to the post office by December 8th in order to arrive in time for Christmas. I guess I need to get hopping!

This just made me think of something. When I lived in southern Italy (Naples) there were a few dead mafia bodies found in the water supply! Tap water was not potable for a long time.....for that matter still may not be able to drink the water yet....eeewww.

I grew up outside of Dallas. We were taught that Alaska is technically the biggest, but if you melted it, Texas would be bigger.
