The Rolling Stones, The Guess Who, and many other entertainers including Dan Akroyd just had an outdoor concert in Toronto that attracted over 450,000 fans. What's the biggest concert you've ever been to?

The Stones at Shea Stadium. I think it was 1986 or 87.

490,000 to be exact...and those of us that were there - well it's pretty safe to say that it was the biggest concert we ever attended - as the Toronto SARS relief concert made history as the biggest concert ever in North America.

The biggest concert in the world? 3 million people to see Rod Stewart in Brazil!!

legend valley (buckeye lake ohio area) in 1979...eddie money, cheap trick, the cars and headliner todd rundgren with utopia. what a day!

they sold a certain number of tickets, i'm thinking about 25,000; but over 60,000 people got in with bootlegged tix. at some point in the day, concert-goers burned the wooden gates at the entrance, which held (i believe) all the tickets used for admission! it was a typical madhouse, with planned attendance and facilities for a certain amount and at least double that number on-site.

definitely not toronto, but big in it's day!

a group of my friends went to Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park in 1981. I was recovering from mono and couldn't go. I've never gotten over it.

Beach Boys did a 4th of July concert here back in the late 80s, if I remember right. I went with some friends and we heard on the news afterwards that there were over 300,000 people there.

Amnesty International concert at Giants stadium in 86 or 87??? It had U2, The Police, Peter Gabriel, Bryan Adams, and many more.

the back roads of Maine.....this is the PHISH concert that people just keep coming back to.....the roads will be backed up from here to Limestone......hope all have a safe and fun weekend there

Micca...sorry but I have no idea. I heard this on a Toronto radio station the same day as the SARS benefit concert.

Jimmy Buffett, over 25,000, he sells out every concert within 20 mins! He doesn'r do stadiums though.

Madonna I just glimpsed at some info on Rock in Rio. It would appear that Rod Stewart was one of the performers at a festival that lasted for several days which cumulatively drew a crowd of over 1.5 million. I just couldn't imagine the lines for the restrooms at a show with 3 million all at once

Micaa - well I know that the washroom stalls at the SARS concert were 147 people to one...and that the line up for the beer tents were 3 hours long - so; no - I CAN NOT imagine!
