We are having a large family reunion for almost 20 people in 3 villas for a week.
Normally, hitting up Costco is a no brainer since we will needs cases of water and a minimum of 3 dozen bagels, muffins, croissants, etc. as well as frozen prepared meals like lasagna, etc. We will be eating most meals in the resort because of the logistics and time consuming nature of so many people eating out. Much easier and faster to feed the little kids (and adults) at the resort.
I go to Costco so often, I already have a tentative list of what to start grabbing and loading into the cart of food for a large group.
However, in working on our itinerary, I realize that Costco closes early (6pm) on Sunday which is our arrival day and the only real day we have time to grocery shop. All our weekdays are packed with park and waterpark/disneyquest, pool, DTD activities.
We won't arrive at the resort early enough to make a Costco run in time on Sunday.
Has anyone used wegoshop to make a large order at Costco before? I was wondering if we can make a order for bulk items at Costco for delivery on Sunday and make a supermarket run for other items.
Our other option is to buy EVERYTHING for 20 people at the supermarket on Sunday evening. Honestly, I wouldn't even know where to start and how many carts we would need. And how to plan for the meals.
I would be loathe to take time out on a park day to go to Costco, especially, since it is usually a 3 hour trip for me including the 1 hour round trip drive.
So, any advice to make this work? Anyone plan something similar or grocery shop for a large group? Anyone use wegoshop or other service to make a Costco run? Do they even go to Costco?
Arrrgh... getting a headache planning this trip.
