I can’t get adrs for my group of 8 together, I had to split us up. What are the odds we can sit together at the restaurant? Disney wants us to do celebrations, how about letting us celebrate together.

Our party of 9 was seated together in December at all of our ADRs, despite being booked as split parties. We simply made sure everyone was there 10-15 minutes before the earlier ADR, checked in with the CM at the podium (not via MDE) and told them we were together and would like to sit as close together as possible. Odds are good, especially if you're patient while they get set up for you.

Of course they want you to celebrate together, but like every other restaurant in the world, parties of 8 are not as common as parties of 2, 4, etc. so there are naturally fewer tables.

According to Disney Dining most restaurants aren’t booking tables larger than 6.

Just get there early for your ressies. We have eaten with extended family with separate tables, but they have always been able to accommodate us. Of course, there are no guarantees, but I feel like they will try their best.
