We will be traveling in August as a group of 9 to celebrate 3 high school graduations (my DD and my two nephews). My family has been often, one family has been once, and the third family have never been. I've been given the job to make this a SUPER trip.

We enjoy character dining and the three seniors are looking forward to getting some pics with their favorite childhood characters so we are planning on-

Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace for dinners. (We did CM on our last group trip with 21 and it worked well for a really large group.)

Ohana was a favorite from our last group trip and it was also a good choice for a large group.

I wish there was still a Villian dinner as I know the boys would love that.

I'm looking for two suggestions for other fun or delicious meals. My DD has down CRT every trip since her 5th birthday trip but we don't want to use two credits. How is The EpCot Princess meal? Not sure about Norwegian food.

Assuming you don't want to do all buffets, why don't you consider Teppan Edo? Hibachis are usually fun for large groups, and I believe your entire group would fit around one grill.

Thats a good idea!

I don't think 9 will fit at one table at Teppan Edo. There are 8 seats around the grill.
I have read on occasion they have squeezed a small child in, but I have never seen 9 adults around a single grill.

Via Napoli in Italy in WS at Epcot has a large table in the center of the room near the 3 wood burning ovens. It would be a great spot for 9. And we love Via Napoli. The food is delicious, the service is great and it is a bright, airy, pretty and often loud location.
Enjoy

I'll check on both of those. If nine will fit, we all love Hibachi. Thank you!

Biergarten in Germany is great. Good food and the band is a lot if fun. They say the tables fit 8, but I was there last September with 9 and we were all at the same table.

We are a group of 8 traveling in June and below are the places I chose that I specifically thought would be fun as a large group. We will have several young kids which played into the decision.

Ohana
TRex at DTD
Splitsville Bowling at DTD
CRT

Others we considered
Hoop Dee Doo Revue - I really wanted to do this. It gets great reviews and seems like it would be fun for a large group but I got overruled.
Whispering Canyon at WL
Artist Point at WL - this is a good out of the way signature that seems a little quieter and could be a chance to actually talk in a large group.
1900 Park Fare Dinner - never been but I think the characters would be good for your group. The step sisters are supposed to be really funny.

was it crowded? We had 8 at our table and felt i was on top of the two people next to me.
we were all disney adults.

Our reservations were for 16 so we needed to make two reesrvations for the same time for 8 and 8
you may have a hard time with finding for 9- play around with the reservation and if need be break it up into 2

For a group that likes to have fun, I'd vote on the Hoop Dee Doo! Plus the food is good. Or, just get the casual atmosphere with good food at Trail's End. Go early & pet the horses (or some could take a horse/pony ride). Walk the nature trail & will probably see deer right next to the trail. Those who prefer, can sit on the porch in those comfortable rockers! Or rent some bikes and/or golf carts before eating. After dinner, take a hay ride!

It didn't seem crowded to us, but we are all pretty small people! I went a few years ago with 17 people and they just sat us at 2 tables right next to each other.
I would definitely call rather than use the website for large reservations. I always find them very helpful.
