We are planning to split up during the day so that each family can do what they wish and meet up for meals here is where we would like to try and eat " together" if its possible. If not at the same table at least near each other. We have a TA so I guess she will be able to make it work, but Id like to know before my 180 days if I need to look for other options. Where do you think will make us split or do you think these are good options.

8 adults and 8 kids ages 15-2 years old
Breakfast- Hollywood & Vine, Tusker House
Lunch- Be Our Guest
Dinners- Via Napoli, Ohana, 50's Prime Time, T-Rex

Whatcha Think?

Thanks in Advance :hyper2:

It depends on what tables are available when you check in. When you make the ADRs, you'll get the standard "your party may or may not be split up". They will try to keep your party together, but nobody can guarantee it. BoG at lunch is seat yourself.

We have the same size group. Each restaurant has a limit for the party size that can be booked online. I was able to call Disney Dining to find out the party size limit for each or our choices. We were able to book Tusker House breakfast online for 16 people. For our other ADRs, we did 2 ADRs online of 8 people around the same time. I was told by Disney Dining that we had to call the locations to add a note on the reservation that we'd like to be seated together. I called a few restaurants last week and was told to call the morning of the reservation to place the note. Our trip is 12/15-12/22, so I cant tell you how it will work out yet lol.

we have had a group of 14 with 8 adults and 6 kids. we were split in back to back tables at Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine. we were seated at pushed together tables at Rainforest Café and Ohana and we had a wait past ADR at both. we had the note on all that we could be split up

You have a better chance of being seated together if your reservation is for the beginning of a meal period or close to the end because at both times there are more open tables available for the castmembers to work with. Dining at off times rather than at the most popular times (e.g. noon, 6 PM) will also help.

Of the places you listed, BOG is counter service at lunch so you find your own seats. Via Napoli has a long table where we've seen large parties seated. 'Ohana has large tables, but I don't know if they will seat 16.

When you check in you can ask to be seated together and the castmembers will do their best, but it will depend on which tables are available.

In the past, we have made split ADRs and arrived early to ask if we could combine and sit together. Many places have accommodated us. It's worth a chance! I forget how many people are the max when you make ADRs online.

Thanks everyone...the only one we really WANT to be seated together for would be OHANA bc its our last night and its our first family trip together and it will be a good way to close it out...but all i can do it ask. Thanks again

I think each restaurant has its own max party size, according to my Ohana breakfast reservation that number is 31, not sure if it's the same for dinner.

Prime Time is the only place that probably won't have the capacity to sit you at the same table. Most of the tables are on the small side and are bolted to the floor.
At most other places you will be able to sit together, but be prepared to wait longer. All of the other places you mentioned can accommodate that size party, but it will depend on how quickly tables open up in the same section to move tables together. The other thing to consider is it will take longer for you to be served because there are so many of you. You will get two servers assigned to your table, but it still takes longer. Even at a buffet, drinks, extras, and even the check just take longer than smaller parties. If the kids are old enough we like to do a kids table and an adult table. It splits things up for the restaurant and gives adults and kids a chance to visit with each other.

as I said earlier we had 14 at Ohana seated together but it was a late meal time. did take some time and we were not rushed, brought out some mac & cheese for one of younger kids who asked for it. even allowed double stroller in. when 2 fell asleep
