Lard Wrestling and Sleep Deprivation – A Dec. 08 TR

to bring news of zero progress. Instead, I will include brief mention of the Halloween party we attended last Saturday night. It was definitely fun and DH and I both had a great time. Unfortunately, we both got sick yesterday from something we ate at the party. Oh well, c'est la vie!

My costume for the party was particularly successful. I went as a little girl on her first trip to Disneyland. I wore a baby doll dress with a white felt Mickey head attached to the skirt (kind of like a poodle skirt thing), black tights and black Mary Jane shoes. I had my hair french braided into pigtails with big bows on the ends, wore my original DL mouse ears with my name embroidered on the back, carried my Mickey plush and a GIANT Mickey head balloon. Everyone liked the outfit and I LOVED it! I can't wait to see how I do in my work costume contest this Friday.

So, between the party on Saturday and being sick on Sunday, I basically got nothing trip related done all weekend and I'm totally OK with that. I feel much better about progress now that I have a complete packing list and my park touring plans are done.

We leave in 36 days and will be at Disney in 41 days!

Awww that costume sounds like lots of fun and soo cute:cutie: Post some pictures! BF and I are going to a costume party on Saturday and we're being Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Not as cute of an idea as yours!

How cute! And where is a picture? :rolleyes1

Sounds like a cute costume!!

Thanks all! I really liked the costume and so did others at the party. We took one really bad pic near the end of the party so I don't really have a good one to post but I promise I will take one this Friday after I get dressed for our work contest.

I think the Flintstones are cute! DH won't do the whole couple costume thing for some weird reason. :confused3 Have fun at your party!

We are checking out of WL on 12/14 and our flight departs at 6:30am the next morning. Because that is insanely early, DH and I decided to get a cheap room near the airport for convenience rather than extend our trip. We talked about this months ago when we booked the flights and I thought he had booked the hotel.

Since I've been working on getting everything printed and into the Passporter, I asked DH to email me the confirmation for the one night hotel stay. He had no idea what I was talking about. I explained again what I was looking for and his response was that he hadn't booked a hotel for that night yet! :scared1:

So, needless to say, I made haste to get on Priceline and get that booked. We now have a one night ressie at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport for a mere $55. It's less than one mile from the airport so we will be able to zoom right over first thing in the morning.

The confirmation has been printed, placed in the appropriate pocket and all of the pertinent details are in written on the pocket. We're all set!

Wow, this weekend was busy! Actually, only Saturday was busy but I was exhausted yesterday because of it.

I took my Girl Scout troop to see High School Musical 3 on Saturday. It was really cute. I enjoyed it and the girls did also. I still like HSM2 better but thought the dancing in 3 was the best so far.

After I got home from the movie, I had to quickly change and then DH and I headed out for the season opener of the Symphony. I was a music major in college and DH has never been so I really wanted to go. I got great tickets in a work drawing so we went and it was great. I LOVED the music and DH enjoyed himself also. Sacramento is a pretty small town so the art scene isn't great but it wasn't bad either. It was nice getting all dressed up and having the chance to listen to some symphonic music. DH has even said he might go again.

Yesterday was spent vegging. It was nice but I don't do it very often because I always feel guilty afterwards. I needed it though and I'm trying not to feel bad for doing it.

This week should be slower paced as I only have a GS meeting tonight and no other evening activities. I'm going to start working on packing.

Sounds like a good weekend to me. I really want to see HSM3 but no one will see it with me, no one is really interested. :confused3 Maybe because I'm 21 and not supposed to admit to wanting to see a HSM movie  Don't feel guilty about vegging, you have been very busy from what you've told us all and I'm sure thats not even the half of it. Glad you and DH enjoyed the Symphony :goodvibes

I was so happy the girls wanted to see it since it meant I had a legitimate excuse. Otherwise, DH would have had to go and he was not excited about that!

I received my new shoes yesterday that I purchased for WDW. They are Skechers "Step Up" and are black smooth leather and suede.

OMG, these are SO COMFY! I slipped them on and didn't want to take them off again. I have to wear mostly flat shoes with non-skid soles and these have a great rugged grippy sole. There is good arch support and the insole is very cushiony.

The best part is that they look really cute on and go well with capris, jeans and skirts. I  them and even wore them to work today to start getting them broken in. So far, they just keep feeling better and better. Yay, comfy WDW shoes!!!

subbing and enjoying your pre trippie!

Would love to see a pic of those halloween costumes!!!

Oh my goodness I am so jealous that you think these shoes are comfortable! I got a very similar pair (mine are white with some rhinestones on them but same basic design and they're Skechers) and no matter how many times I've worn them they give me huge blisters on the back of my heels!! They're so cute and I would love to wear them to Disney but they are not good for me...happy to hear that you are enjoying them though! :goodvibes

Always a good find! :thumbsup2

Yes, comfy shoes are a must!

:welcome: And I promise to upload the pics soon. I just haven't had time to do that yet.

So you much have narrow heels? I've been told that heel slipping is an issue if your heels are narrow. That will never be an issue for me since nothing on my body is narrow.

These are really great though. I especially like that they are versatile.

I'm still working on our Epcot days.

I'll be printing these on index card sized paper with any ADR confirmation numbers and laminating them. Each day will have it's own card in the Passporter pocket for that day that I can remove and carry with us to the parks.

I definitely do have narrow heels and they're definitely the ONLY thing on my body that's narrow  I've had this problem since I was a little kid, I was the only one who couldn't wear jelly sandals (do you remember those?) Anyway, great touring plans my head hurts just thinking about trying to make them though :headache: :goodvibes

I remember jelly sandals! My mom wouldn't let me wear them.

Yes, it is no fun doing the touring plans but they are a necessity (for me at least.) They make it so much more fun since they allow time to get all of the important stuff in and leave time to fill in as desired later. We used similar ones last time but we now know what we don't like so got to cut all of that out.

I think I'm finally done with my touring plans. I still don't know exactly what we will be doing our last day. We have a 10:20am ADR at Tusker House in AK. I know we'll want to ride EE some more but I'm pretty sure we'll also want some more ToT and TSM time. We also might want to hit MK again for another go at Philharmagic.

Obviously, our last day is still pretty up in the air. I actually think we might just play that one by ear.

Well, pooh! I just called to make my resort photo session appt. because I was told you could do it at 30 days from your arrival date. Sure enough, you have to wait until 30 days from the date of the session itself so I need to call back next Monday.

We've at least finally decided on a time. We want to do a 9:30am session at the Wilderness Lodge on 12/10 so that we can get to Epcot by 10:45am. Since we're staying at the Lodge, this will still give us a bit of time to sleep in/relax in the room that morning.

And btw, we'll be at the World in

30 SLEEPS!!!!

We leave for Florida in 26 days. I'm so excited!!! :dance3:
