Laptop-wise people please advise!

My laptop is slightly broken. Whenever I move it a thin green or blue or white line appears about 3/4's of the way onto the left of the page. I dropped it once, but it wasn't a very large drop...

Can anyone advise me on what to do? It orignally cost £399 and was my good GCSE present, and i'd rather not get it replaced.

Sounds like a loose cable or dry joint-best getting an expert to look at it though! How old is it?

It's about 5 months old, so still pretty new. JohannySharp2 suggested going to an expert to, and fortunately for me there is a nice little one a couple of miles down the road...

...ahem, if its only 5 months old and there are no signs of any physical damage, why not try to take it back to where you bought it from? - not that I would condone such activity of course ( ) but the problem may not be from the effect of the drop.
