on our recent trips to wdw we have stayed at ASM, WL, POP and SSR. at each resort i have always left my laptop on the table along with my cameras. i have never worried about them being stolen. when i first started bringing a laptop i always hid it in a suitcase or in laundry. after a few\days i realized this was crazy and i wasnt going to worry about it. in fact on our WL trip mousekeeping didnt touch the table where i had all of my electronics stored. just cleaned everywhere but the table.
i will definitly bring my laptop on all of my vacations. i am a bit of a photo nut, especially in wdw. i often take hundreds of pics a day. so having a place to download them is a must. also having the laptop can be a lifesaver on the trip to and from wdw when your kids start to get a bit bored.
im hoping that in the near future the wdw does offer free internet access from their on site rooms. as soon as thre competition offers it i am sure they will follow suit

We also bring our laptop to download our pictures for the day. I like to make sure that we got really great pictures, so that in case we didn't, there's still time to go back and get more. On our last trip, at the airport we found a wireless spot. We got to check our photopass right there, and the girls were able to use their AIM and chat with people back home. We love having ours there, but not for work. We don't even hook up to the internet in our room!!! Can't wait to get back there!
