Are you allowed to bring a laptop in the park? My husband will have one in his carry-on backpack, and as the room may not be ready will have his backpack with him for the day.

Yes.

Rent a locker and store it there for the day.

Have your husband check for any tools or things that might look like weapons to disney. sure the tsa should snag you first but you never know what disney is thinking.

Your hotel should be able to check it for you for the day.

I forgot to make this point in my previous reply. I've left my laptop both when arriving and when I needed it stored the last day and had zero problems.. It is safe to leave it with the resort and check it into bag storage. Now if your husband may need fast access to it, lockering it at the park is something i've also done. What I've never done is try to ride things with it.. I've had enough mobile phones crack on rides that I wouldn't want a laptop with me.

At the resort he can leave it with bell services because they have a secured area. If he prefers additional security there are safe deposit type boxes available behind the desk that he can use. Or he can bring it to the park and rent a locker.

As others have said, I'd check it at bell services if I'm staying on-site.

Otherwise I take it with me on splash mountain... :D

Yes, there won't be a problem.

He does have options that will allow him to not carry it around all day, if he would like to avoid it. There are lockers in each park near the entrance where he could stow it. Or even better, if you are at the resort before going to the park, you can leave your carryon bags with Bell Services at your resort, and they will give you a claim check. Either one of those options will mean that he doesn't have to carry it around and risk damaging or losing it during the day.

We always bring our lap tops in our bags on the plane and we always leave them with bell services both at arrival and departure. Way easier than hauling it to the park

Thanks for all the info, I knew about checking at Bell service but didn't think about a locker in the park.
As we have an almost two year old I'm not so worried about rides as if my DS can go the laptop is likely safe.

I just assumee my DH would leave the laptop at Bell service but he's like that why I have a backpack, so I can carry it, and I didn't want it to be an issue at security if he could not take it in the park.

Unless he's got the worlds lightest lap top it's going to be heavy to carry around walking all day. I hope he'll reconsider checking it at the resort.
