I am now the owner of a brand new laptop, supposedly for DD to take to university but I'm hanging on to it for a couple of weeks to get to know what it does before letting her loose on it!
Being new to laptops, I have a couple of questions which are probably very dumb but I'm hoping you'll take pity on me and help me out here:
1. Can we use the DVD player in the laptop to watch DVDs on the move, or will the possible jolting in a car damage either the DVD or the laptop DVD drive?
2. Are CDs re-usabel? The laptop has a CDRW, but I'm wondering whether it's possible to 'wipe' an old CD blank and then write to it again (spotting a potential use for the thousands of free ones in magazines, etc.!
).
Thanks for any help!
