Laptop advice. Will this work for me?

I'm looking for a refurbished laptop. I only use it to do web searches, Disboards, Pinterest etc., check email and pay bills. No games, photo or video storage. The price of this is $289 before tax. Thanks for any help, I've been putting this purchase off for too long because I'm not sure what I need. huh, just noticed the link i thought i provided didn't post.

If that's all you would use it for have you considered just using a chromebook? You can get a good one for under $250.

I agree with them too! I have an HP Stream, the storage stinks, but I just use it for bills, web, and email. It’s lightweight and was $200.

My son had a 2 in 1 asus for high school. He used it for 2 years and we paid $200. Only thing is the on button fell into the thing and so things like that don't last sometimes.

Thanks everyone. Ill look into the Chromebook. I was reading another forum and the consensus was to go with the refurbed laptop at that price.

I have a Samsung Chromebook that I got for $119 on a Black Friday deal. It's great! I only use it for the same things you do. The only other thing it's missing is a CD drive, but even some of the newer laptops are starting to not include those.

I'm another that strongly recommends the chromebook! I love not having to deal with updates, virus protection or any of that junk anymore.

In fact when my college age DD's laptop was acting up I just bought her a chromebook to get her thru the last few weeks of school. If she wants a new laptop she can buy one. I'm not messing around trying to fix her old one. Everyone else's kids in the world are tech savy but mine. Well me either anymore. Chromebooks will be my machine of choice for as long as they are around!!
