I have a son on the swim team who wants to work out while we're at the Fort. Are any of the lanes roped off for lap swimming?

If not, where would be the closest place for this.

TIA!

There are no roped off sections in either pool at the Fort. If he wants to swim laps I would suggest going to the pool early in the morning or going to the smaller pool in the cabin area it's not as busy.

Pool hopping is no longer alowed so that rules out any other resorts pool.

For serious lap swimming there is a major swimming center on International Drive which I believe is run by the YMCA. Been awhile since I drove down through there but it is on the lower end towards the big convention center.

None of the Disney pools I have seen have any roped off lap swimming areas.

Thanks for the info.

I found the YMCA, www.idriveymca.com, they let visiting swimmers work out with their swim team while on vacation. That must happen a lot in Orlando.;)

I think since the pool rehab the whole pool is only about 3 feet deep anyway.
