Lanyards and Pin Trading

Can anyone tell me if the Lanyards they have online are the only lanyards at Universal or do they have better ones at the park?

Also, is there any pin trading? I didn't think so but I just read a site that seemed to indicate that there is and I want to make sure I get some pins if needed.

They have lots of lanyards at the parks.

I have not seen any pin trading with the employees

If the darkside started anything up
for staff to pin trade, I’m sure it would be announced

I read on a trip advisor board from awhile back that said they do it but just with employees which is mainly what the kids did at Disney as well. My 7 year old asked and I think the pin trading when we did it this last time at Disney was more exciting for her than the rides. I was going to try to get her some universal pins, but they aren't cheap to grab on ebay like the Disney pins.
