Lanyard with zip pouch...

Hi! First time DCL cruiser! Will we be able to buy a lanyard with a zip pouch on board? OR can anyone suggest a place to get one ahead of time? We will be at WDW before the cruise! TY!!! Cheers!

Yes, you can buy DCL themes lanyards on board. You can also get them at WDW. The zip pouch is separate.

The lanyard they sell on the Disney store website has a zip pouch. I think they are 7.99 they also sell these on the ship for the same price. They are sold out alot of times on disneystore.com

Got one at the ship gift shop it is navy blue with DCL logo. It has a pouch that closes by Velcro. You can just hold it up to your cabin door and it unlocks without taking out your card. Loved it, plan to use it again on our October cruise.

I keep recommending these on the Disboards because I think they are perfect if you are wearing a lanyard... I have no financial interest in promoting this product. It is just soooo easy to get your card in and out but it is also 100% secure. Cards will NOT just fall out.

If you happen to be DVC members you will get DVC lanyards with zippered pouches on the cruise.

If you are planning to utilize the "new" app (texting, daily navigators/schedules, dinner menus, etc.), you might consider getting a little silicone card pocket to attach to the back of your phone, thereby keeping room key/card and phone together at all times, minimizing risk of key falling out of pocket...and avoiding need to wear a lanyard. In full disclosure, I hate the very concept of having something like that around my neck, especially if going in the pool, on the AquaDuck/Dunk, on excursions, etc., where it would end up in a pocket or in a bag anyway, so I will look for any excuse/reason/alternative to avoid a lanyard. I realize I might be in the minority there, so if lanyards are your thing, just ignore me (and get the one from the DCL gift shop...nice logo souvenir and certainly reusable for future cruises or other times). I was just keeping my card in one pocket and my phone in another, but then someone in our FE group gave these out with "Keep Calm and Keep on Cruising" (or something like that) imprinted on it, and I thought it was perfect (as at least my daughter and I were using the app for all sorts of purposes, not the least of which was keeping up with her when she was out exploring with friends). Here is a picture of what I'm talking about if not clear. Could likely order a bajillion of them for pretty low price.

I use something like this at work and have never had a problem. I didn't even think about something like this for the cruise. thanks! I think this will be better than the flimsy plastic sleeve
