Lanyard question

Does the cruise line give you one? I am thinking people use them to carry their room keys?

DCL provides them to Castaway Club members, i.e. returning cruisers. First time cruisers will have to provide their own lanyards.

We were first time cruisers this past September so no one had lanyards. I managed to buy a silver DCL lanyard on Ebay, new in package, for $4 incl shipping so I was the only one who wore one on our cruise. On our cruise next year everyone will have one
